Hello Gauri Prayag, let me first apprise you about the admission process in Maharashtra for engineering colleges. All admissions including to COEP, are based on ranking in MHTCET. This exam is yet to be conducted. Hence there is nothing like the latest cutoff. Since cutoff or closing ranks available are of last year and they can not change midway. Ok? Having said this, it must be said that this institution ranks very high in minds of students and as a result, admissions close at a very high percentile. In addition, the CSE branch commands a further premium. I would strongly advise you to aim for a percentile above 95 for reasonably good chances of getting admission to this branch.

Hello Bhumika Umaji Shinge, MHT CET is the exam that is conducted by the State Government of Maharashtra for deciding on the admissions of students in Engineering colleges across the state. College of Engineering at Pune which is a government institute also admits students based on the performance in this in terms examination. This college has not prescribed any cut off what so ever for students who see admission. What happens your confusing cut off with closing ranks. Cut off is the percentage below which students cannot even applied for admission where I as closing ranks is are the ranks or the percentage at which the last admission took place. This being the premier most institute in the state of Maharashtra normally students in the top 10 percentile bracket only have reasonable chance of getting admission in this college. You can perhaps get the information about closing ranks for different branches from the net.

Hello Anthara Nanaware, I can appreciate your angst and anxiety. COEP ranks in the top five engineering colleges in the state of Maharashtra. However, there is no mention of any cutoff for admission to this college. Please try to understand. Admissions are not processed by the college. This job is done by the CET cell of govt of Maharashtra after the declaration of results of MHTCET. Students are to register with them and give preference for admission. All colleges across Maharashtra are included in this process. Hence there is no scope for any college to announce a cutoff. What is announced by colleges after the admission process is over are the opening and closing ranks of students who got admission. Obviously for this college, one must be perhaps in the top five percentile for having a reasonable chance of getting admission.
