Review for DAV College Jalandhar.

Placements: The students who apply for placements are selected according to their capabilities. The college offers many placement applications every month, so many students get selected with an average package of 5 lakh per annum, and in B.Com, you get banking companies.

Infrastructure: DAV College has many facilities for students, but the infrastructure is very old and needs repair. The classrooms do not have AC, so in summer, the classrooms are really very hot. The library of DAV College is very famous and well-known. The canteen food is also fine.

Faculty: The teachers at DAV College are really experienced and helpful in every criterion. They help students grow and learn more. The mid-term exams are conducted by the college, and semester exams are from November to December and May to April. The teachers focus on finishing the syllabus.

Other: I chose this course because it can help me in the future, as I want to continue in commerce.

The college is excellent.

Placements: There are various placements cell in the college in which you can get yourself registered. There are direct placements in some of the banks situated in Jalandhar. There are low chances of placements outside Jalandhar, but if your academics are good, you have a chance.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is fine. The classes are big and airy but it gets a little difficult in summers as there are no ACs so it becomes extremely hot, but it’s fine in winters. Labs are air conditioned and library is also good. You can find a variety of books in the library.

Faculty: The semester exams are same as the university’s main exams having the same pattern and marking scheme. Teaching quality is just superb. Every teacher is cooperative and they have the best knowledge. You don't need to get tuitions if you attend the lectures properly.

Other: I opted B.Com because it is a specialized course which provides the students with in-depth knowledge of various subjects related to business and commerce such as accounting, finance, economics, marketing, and management. Students graduating with an accounting and finance degree have a variety of career paths to choose from.

Honest review of the college and its courses.

Placements: The college provides no kind of placements, the location of the college is the main reason for this, because this area is not industrial. There is no special cell for placements in the college. Also, no companies visit for the placements. The students need to solely approach the companies for jobs.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is below average and quite good. The labs and classrooms are well-maintained and in good condition. The Library is also good, you can get maximum books and course books too. The food quality of the college canteen is good. There are many game and sports facilities available.

Faculty: The teachers are beneficial, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very effective and good. This course is relevant because it helps to understand concept like business world, and it makes the students industry-ready. The difficulty level of the semester exams is quite impressive and the passing percentage is around 60%.

Placements: Our College offers placement opportunities to students, and we receive notifications about these placements through our college group. This is a valuable facility as it ensures that no updates are missed by students. It is ultimately the student's choice whether they want to pursue placement opportunities or not, but the college ensures that every placement is notified.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure falls short of expectations with no air conditioning or Wi-Fi in the classrooms, although the labs and offices have ACs. The medical facilities are average and the canteen food is unappetizing, leading students to seek food and other amenities outside of the college premises.

Faculty: The faculty members are highly skilled and experienced, providing excellent guidance to students and being very cooperative. There are two exams in each semester, one conducted by the college and the other by the university. The preparation for these exams was of high quality, with every teacher giving their best effort.

Other: College is beneficial due to its affordable fees, enabling individuals who aspire to study to enroll without having to make significant compromises due to the lower cost.

Placements: This college provides low placements with very low salary packages. It is not active in terms of placements.

Infrastructure: This is a very old college. They need to renew it.

Faculty: Teachers are not good because they do not listen to students. They do not help students. Exams are normal. All students pass.

Other: This is an average college. They also need to make an equal-fee system for all castes. According to their family income, they give discounts to backward castes. They do not provide any discounts for general students.

I am satisfied with the faculty and facilities.

Placements: About 60% of students in my course got placements. The highest package was 10 LPA. The lowest package was 2.5 LPA and the average was 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Axis Bank, HDFC, and Angel Broking. The top roles were Insurance and Banking and Sales department.

Infrastructure: The college is connected with Wi-Fi. There are various labs on campus according to the subject. The Library has every book you ask for. The college infrastructure is too good. The college is very big. There are many buildings. You get many options in sports and clubs to choose from. There are two canteens and stationery on campus.

Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and highly qualified Ph.D. levels. They have experience in teaching for more than 20 years. The quality of the teaching is very good. The contents of the curriculum are relevant and updated with government policy. It makes the student's industry ready. The exams are difficult if you don't study well. About 85% is the pass percentage. The exams usually happen in Dec and May.

Other: I wanted to go to CA that's why I choose this course. The best thing about this course is you get a deep knowledge of subjects like accounts and economics. They should improve the classrooms. There are many activities like NCC and NSS. I joined NCC.
