What's new at the Department of Law, MDU? Admission is open to LLB (Hons) for the academic year 2023-24. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official college website. Department of Law MDU has not released the 2023 placement details. However, the NIRF report 2023 is released. According to the report, 129 UG and 40 LLM students were placed during MDU Law Department placements 2022. The median package offered to UG students stood at INR 50,000 per annum. Department of Law, MDU Highlights 2025
The Department of Law, MDU was established in 1978. It is affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak and approved by the Bar Council of India. It is recognised as one of the best Law colleges in Haryana. The department offers various undergraduate - BA LLB (Hons), LLB, postgraduate - LLM and postdoctoral PhD (Law) programmes in the Law stream. Candidates looking forward to practising law in India, are required to clear the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) that is conducted by BCI. On clearing the AIBE exam, lawyers are awarded a ‘Certificate of Practice’ which is mandatory for practising the profession as an advocate in India.
LLM course is offered in various specialisations including Criminal Law Group, Corporate Law Group and Constitutional Law Group with an intake 30 students each. The number of teaching faculty at the Department of Law is 17. Department of Law, MDU Rohtak offers a list of University Merit Scholarships to the meritorious and deserving students. The scholarships will be given annually based on various results of the University examinations. The University offers 20 different scholarship schemes to the students of various departments of MDU.

Through the entire course, the course fee is approximately 1,320 INR which is very low in comparison to a lot of law schools.
