Faculty of Law MGKPV offers a two-year LLM course for candidates and the total seat-intake for the course is 66. Candidaets who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the course through the online application form on the official website of the university. The admission process is merit based for the LLM course. 

Candidates must have passed LLB/ five-year integrated LLB /any other equivalent degree from a recognised University with a minimum of 55% aggregate (50% marks in case of SC and ST category candidates).

A total of 1,374 PG (2-year) students graduated in 2023. Out of these, 57 were placed successfully during 2023 placements. Earlier, 354 out of 1,417 PG (2-year) students were placed during 2022 placements. From 2021 to 2023, a fluctuating trend was observed in the number of PG (2-year) students placed. Eligibility for BA LLB:

A graduate degree in any field from a recognised university or college with a minimum grade point average of 50% or an equal CGPA score. Students from SC / ST / PWD domains are given a 5% discount.

Students studying in their last year of study can also apply for the course, although their acceptance will be contingent on their final grades.

Faculty of Law, MGKVP, Varanasi was established in the year 1983. Faculty of Law, is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi, approved by the Bar Council of India and recognised by the state government. The Faculty of Law offers undergraduate (LLB and BA LLB-Integrated Course), postgraduate (LLM) and postdoctoral (PhD) programmes in the Law stream.
