Review of Dhemaji College.

Placements: My physics honours course was exceptional. 85% of students got placed, with packages ranging from 4 LPA as the lowest, 12 LPA as the highest, and an average of 7 LPA. Over 70% of students secured internships with top companies like ISRO, TIFR, and DRDO. Major roles included Research Analyst, Data Scientist, and Physics Consultant.

Infrastructure: The Physics Honours programme at my college is exceptional. Modern labs, well-equipped classrooms, a vast library, and campus-wide Wi-Fi make learning seamless. Hostel life is comfortable with clean rooms and delicious mess food. Great sports facilities foster a vibrant atmosphere.

Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio in the Physics Honours programme is excellent, ensuring personalized attention. The professors are highly approachable, supportive, and always ready to guide students. The strong faculty-student relationship fosters a great learning environment. Truly a 5-star college.

Other: Physics is a practical subject, so I loved it.

Review of Dhemaji College.

Placements: Ironically, there is no placement offered by Dhemaji College. After a UG degree, we have to pursue a PG. Only then can we think about placements. As a physics student, all I can do is either M.Sc., B.Ed., or prepare for competitive exams like SSC, CGL and PCS.

Infrastructure: One of the best things about Dhemaji College is that we can seamlessly use 5G internet. The library is just awesome. All the material related to the course offered by the college is available in the library. And other study material for competitive exams is also widely available in the library. Hostel facilities are also good, but they are based on merit. The playground is quite big. Volleyball, cricket and basketball are available at the college.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers are very supportive. Most of the professors are qualified with the degree M.Sc., NET, SLET and Ph.D. Teaching methods are best when they use a digital board and TV. An online platform like YouTube is also used in our class. Semester exams are a little bit difficult, as the syllabus is lengthy and the college staff is also very strict.

Other: Physics is the study of the nature and I love nature. Natural phenomena are mentioned in our syllabus and after understanding why they happen, the laws they follow are quite fascinating for us.

This is the present Dhemaji College. It is under development. Soon, it will become a university.

Placements: Dhemaji College is basically a normal degree college; it provides only two streams of courses: B.Sc. and B.A. It's not a professional course. So that's why college can't provide on-campus placement offers. But every year, 20% graduate students go to various fields to do internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Dhemaji College is good. There is a big central library here. And Wi-Fi facilities are available but not properly working in some areas of campus. Three girl hostels and one boy hostel are available. Canteens and cafes are available. The classrooms are good. But there is a need for improvement .

Faculty: The teachers at Dhemaji College are good, highly qualified and very helpful. But in some departments of this college, the number of teachers is very low. Both B.A. and B.Sc. are three-year courses. It is a very good course. Exams are held every six months. Students are getting enough time to do other extracurricular activities. The semester exams for these courses are not very easy to pass. The pass percentage is 40%.

Other: I chose the B.Sc. course because I like to learn the basics of science. There are many opportunities in these courses. In our country, the majority of IAS, IPS, politicians, and businessmen came from doing a normal degree at a normal college. Because in this college, we get more time to explore things. Dhemaji College organizes many events, fests, and other activities, so it will help students socialize more.
