They may include proper Thaali food items like curd, salad, sabji, daal, rice, etc. But yes when it comes to taste none can beat home food.

So it depends first of all on your taste buds, secondly I would say the food is not bad and has good variety. 

MKU DDE and Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology are good options to consider for pursuing a BSc.
