Faculty members are supportive. Placements provide some exposure but are below average.
Placements: So far, the marketing batch has achieved full placement, reflecting strong industry demand. However, students from other specializations like finance and HR are still facing challenges. The average package stands at around 5.5 LPA, with companies such as Anand Rathi and Mahindra participating in the recruitment process.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent, providing essential facilities needed by students. However, with consistent maintenance and timely upgrades. The campus environment could be enhanced further to better support academic growth and extracurricular engagement.
Faculty: Professors are highly supportive and bring rich industry experience to the classroom. Their practical insights and approachable nature make learning more engaging and relevant. They help students connect academic concepts with real-world applications.

Good: faculty, placement, campus, students.
Placements: 90% of marketing students are placed after the third semester. The highest package is around 7.5 LPA to 10 LPA. 100% of students got placed in summer internships. Sales and marketing executive roles are offered for placement. Courses are offered in digital marketing, retail management, and marketing research.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure: a library to study in and a computer lab to make projects and learn more. Cafeteria to eat. Good classrooms. Turf to play games. Train travel concessions are available for students. Teaching methods include projectors, case studies, and books, as well as group discussions, etc.
Faculty: Good faculty are supportive and helpful. I would like to thank Aijaz sir and Pooja ma'am for taking me on the social media team to showcase my talent. This helped me add this extracurricular activity to my resume, and due to this, I got selected for an interview.

Great place for learning. Go for it.
Placements: Almost 80 - 90% got placed. Top roles were of sales, and marketing. Top companies like Amazon, Outlook Magazine also recruited for internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was pretty good. They also had hostel facilities for students. The canteen food was average. Sports and games were also organized. The library was also easily accessible to all the students. Classrooms were good.
Faculty: The teachers and the faculty were very helpful. Their teaching quality was good. It made the students industry ready. If you get less than 30 in any subject, you need to attend a re-exam. If you fail in re-exam, you get a KT.
Other: The events organized by the college, were great.

Our college needs to improve placements for finance department as the number of students opting for finance is quite high compared to the placements offered.

Good infrastructure is available in the campus.
Placements: More than 95% students were placed in our college campus. The average package was around 10 Lacs per annum. Internship was allotted to all the students even during Covid. Deloitte, Anand Rathi Wealth and ICICI Bank were the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was quite good. IT labs, classrooms, and library were well maintained with accurate number of staff. Sports are good as we have an in-house turf where an annual cricket tournament conducted.
Faculty: The teachers were well qualified, and helped us in corporate upbringing. I personally was ready to face the industry. Examination was set for us to gain as much knowledge as possible, even via online platform.

Our college has great placements and faculty members. It has value for money.
Placements: Despite a few students who did not opt for placements, all students were placed successfully. Some of them were placed directly by the college, and some had even found jobs on other platforms like Naukri.com. The majority of the finance students were picked by banks like ICICI, HDFC, and IndusInd. There were various other companies, such as Thomson Reuters, Visible Alpha, Capgemini, BNP Paribas, Motilal Oswal, etc. Banking companies hired students for sales based roles, while a few were also picked for back-end roles. Research and analysis-based roles were also offered. The highest salary package offered in our batch was 4.5 LPA, the lowest was approximately 3 LPA, and the average was approximately 3.5 LPA. Every student was offered an unpaid internship. No one was offered a paid internship. Students who got stipends found internships by themselves.
Infrastructure: I was a day scholar. The infrastructure was well maintained. The entire campus was well guarded. It was neat and tidy. There were cleaning workers all the time. The library was well maintained. It had all the required books in abundance. There was a dedicated floor for the library, so one had no worries about sitting capacity. The library also had a discussion room where students could discuss their projects or assignments after their lectures using the study materials. The IT lab was pretty decent. It could provide basic services but could not function properly when heavy software was used on it. One could complete their assignments in the IT lab with a little bit of pain. I would recommend you to carry a personal laptop. Everything else was good. The campus had a common canteen area, which was shared by the other colleges, such as junior colleges and degree colleges. It was an outdoor canteen in the middle of 3 buildings with pretty decent food. There are many options nearby that you can certainly explore and that are budget-friendly.
Faculty: The professors are really helpful and amazing. They are very much knowledgeable and qualified. Each professor has a different and a unique teaching pattern which is helpful in understanding the concepts very much. I can definitely vouch for the quality of the professors and their knowledge. Almost all the professors are Doctorate holder in their field and hence are very much the best. The curriculum of the finance course is relevant and based on the requirements of the industry. Almost everything that you will be asked in an interview will be based on these. Practical applicability of the theory will be very much appreciated. The exams are also framed in a manner that all the concepts are covered and the students are ready for the future. The pass rate in the exams stood at almost 100 percent. Barely anyone failed the finance examination.
Other: One thing that the college can work on is their IT Lab. Equipping the IT Lab with much more advanced systems and heavy systems is a must with machine learning. The best part about the college was the fests. There are many fests and activities that will keep on happening round the corner. Make sure to participate in those fests.

Our college has excellent placements, infrastructure, and faculty members.
Placements: In 2020, few companies offered placements with lower salary packages due to covid. So approximately 70% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA by Deloitte, and the lower salary package offered was 3.3 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Deloitte, etc., visited our campus. Almost 95% of students got internships. Well-known banks, the NSE, Crisil, Visible Alpha, Noumora, etc., were top organisations that visited our campus. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA. Almost 90-95% of students were placed.
Infrastructure: Our college had excellent infrastructure. Computer labs and carrom rooms were available. The library had a large number of books available, including various alumni projects, publications, and so on. We had a playground, a huge campus, a centralised air-conditioned building, a cafeteria, a hall, etc., available. The food quality was good. The girls' hostel was on campus, and the boys' hostel was close to the institute. The canteen was available. There were various food stalls outside the campus.
Faculty: Our faculty members were helpful, supportive, and knowledgeable. Most of them were Ph.D. holders and were always upgrading their knowledge. The course was relevant and the elective subjects selected by the institute were very good. External faculty members visited to teach. There were numerous seminars and events held on campus. They always tried to guide and enhance students' knowledge. The semester exams were difficult. The pass percentage was 100%.
Other: If you want to get a good job from a well-known company, MS is good. You would learn about securities, portfolios, equity research, valuation, and various software in the finance field. If we got more practical and real-world experience, that would be great for understanding the outside world. The institute was trying this through various programs. They did support extracurricular activities. Our college organised many events like common festivals, sports events, CSR activities, etc. The connectivity and surrounding area were excellent.

A must go college for best exposure and for someone who wants and get a satisfies placement.
Placements: 70-75% students were placed. The highest package was 7.5 lacs, and the lowest was 3.5. 95% of the time is spent on sales and marketing. I'm aware that many salaries were negotiated, but the JD were well worth it. However, all of the companies were well-known and had clear job descriptions.
Infrastructure: I believe the facilities provided were above average and in line with market trends. Furthermore, there were no restrictions on their use. They had a large collection of books from which to choose based on your interests. There will be no compromising on food quality. Individual preference may be important when it comes to taste.
Faculty: I never faced an issue wherein my issues of doubts were not resolved by my professor. There have been instances wherein a little dilemma were faced. But no complaints with respect to their knowledge. We also had good industry experts to update us on timely basis. Passing percentage is as per the university conduct which is same for every college. In my opinion exams are meant to be tough but not if we study and attend lectures regularly.
Other: I think the course, money, knowledge and everything else has been upto the mark as was able to get a satisfying job before the end of my course and was able to crack it because of right guidance from my prof. But we have seen our prof and coordinators going an extra mile for students who required support, also for the fact they still send mails to 20-21 students pass out back because of the sheer bad luck of covid.

Managers In Making At DSIMS. Opportunity to grow.
Placements: With over 95% placements done each year, DSIMS provides a equal and fair share of job opportunities to each student. Having passed out in MS with HR specialisation I had seen multiple HR consultancies along with reputed brands coming to campus. Each of us was not only trained for placements through mock interviews but we also had a course named "Managers in Making" specially curated to teach us skills required for managerial roles. The average placement package that was offered was around Rs. 6 Lacs with few getting paid Rs.10 Lacs also based on their academic performance and job roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at DSIMS is one of the finest ones I have seen in the Mumbai city. From in-build air conditions to clean floor. Everything being closely monitored by the on-ground staff who ensures that proper cleanliness is maintained for the students and faculty members. One of the key attractions I would say is the knowledge resource center or library and the IT department. Students are free to use these resources whenever required with staff always around to help them. Along with these facilities there is a dedicated discussion room as well as game room for us to relax and interact with our classmates.
Faculty: The backbone of DSIMS as an institute is their faculty members. The professors are very supportive and are always willing to dedicate special time to a student who is in need. I personally have experienced faculty members waiting back even after college timings in their cabins if a student reached out to them for some guidance. In class they might only be your teachers but outside class they will be your mentors for life and you can reach out to them even after the two years of degree is over.
Other: MS course at DSIMS is a well structured course. It not only provides you the theoretical knowledge but also gives you equal amount of chances to convert that bookish knowledge to practice. One of such great learning experiences for me has been conducting an assessment center for our course (HR specialisation) Competency based HRM and executive performance. Our course faculty made sure that we not only studied about the course from books but truly learnt the nuances of the course through constantly inspiring us to learn by doing. As an MS student from DSIMS you get so many opportunities in these two years to be groomed as a manager and sharpen your skillsets.
