Junior College: The DadibaM.Sethna Endowment Scholarships. The trustees of the
DadibaM.Sethna Endowment Fund founded in 1979 have donated 12 merit scholarships, each or
Rs.30/- p.m. six for the F.Y.J.C. and 6 for the S.Y.J.C. classes (4 for the Science and 2 for the Arts section
in each class.) Scholarships awarded in the F.Y.J.C. class on the basis of the percentage of marks in the
aggregate obtained at the S.S.C. or any other qualifying examinations for admission to the F.Y.J.C. class,
will be tenable for one year. The Scholarships in the S.Y.J.C. class will be awarded for one year to the
students of the College according to the percentage of marks obtained in the F.Y.J.C. Annual the College
according to the percentage of marks obtained in the F.Y.J.C. Annual Examination, if the students
continue their studies in the college for the college for the S.Y.J.C. Class.
Senior College :
i) The Bombay Municipal Corporation Endowment Scholarships : The Bombay Municipal
corporation has endowed the following scholarships :
• One scholarship of Rs. 150/- p.m. for a student doing research for the Ph.D.degree.
• One scholarship of Rs. 150/- p.m. for each of the M.A./M.Sc. (Part-I) and M.A./M.Sc.
(Part-II) classes.
• Two scholarships of Rs. 40/- p.m. each of the S.Y. and T.Y.B.A./B.Sc.
ii) The college Centenary scholarships: At the time of the College Centenary in 1956, substantial
funds were collected, the interest accruing from which was proposed to be awarded as
scholarships. These scholarships came into force from June, 1968. The following scholarships are
awarded from the Centenary Scholarships Fund :
• Two Tata Scholarships of Rs. 50/- p.m. each to poor and deserving students, one from the T.Y.B.A.,
and one form the T.Y.B.Sc.
• 27 Merit Scholarships, each of Rs.40/- p.m. to students of the three year B.A. and B.Sc. degree
courses.

Placements: In my class, there are 48 students i.e. in 2nd year B.Sc. The fees are Rs. 30,000, and for OBC and other caste students it is only Rs. 2000. No top companies visit our college. Internships are mostly in microbiology labs in the hospital. About 20%-30% of students got their internship including me. Microbiologist, bioinformatics, biochemistry, and immunology are most offered in my course.
Placements: The college has placement for students in various companies in India as well as foreign countries. The highest package was in 2015. The lowest package was in 2012. The average package is 3.5 lacs per annum. Most of the students are working in TCS.
Placements: The college doesn't provide any sort of placements for the bioinformatics batch. The course itself started in the year 2022 and they don't have any laptops or software needed to teach bioinformatics. The department doesn't have any proper classroom facility, so the students have to constantly adjust and find any vacant classrooms for their classes. Placements: There is nothing such as a placement cell in the college. There are no placement opportunities at the college. I completed 3 years at the college, and I have seen a number of students in 3 batches, and not a single time have I heard that any of the students got placed in any kind of firm.
Placements: Elphinstone College is under Dr. Homi Baba University. Above 50% of students got placed in the Bachelors of commerce course. We get optional courses only in the second and the third years. The placements are not guaranteed by the same companies every year as new companies come here for requirements every year. If colleges treat students well, they will refer other new upcoming students to enroll in this college.
Placements: The placement percentage of students in B.A. is very low. Rarely does any top company visits the campus for placement purposes. Students who are seeking good placement should not come to Elphinstone. The college has a tie-up with internshala. So, students are asked to register there for good internship opportunities.
