Established in the year 2002, the college has carved a niche for itself in the education world, eloquently demonstrated by the flying colors attained by its students in academics, placements as well as extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. The college is run by the Federal Bank Officers' Association Educational Society and was established in 2002.

In terms of factors like total placement, average wage, number of recruiting organizations, and the largest package, Federal Institute of Science and Technology does appear to offer greater placement prospects. Another benefit is the increased industry representation across all sectors.

Placement percentage: More than 80% of students from all branches have been placed at FIST. ASIET has a placement rate of roughly 60%.
Recruiters: More than 250 reputable organizations, such as Microsoft and Infosys, are hosted by FIST for placements. Less than 100 companies are attending ASIET.
the highest package: Microsoft's 43 LPA package is the highest package available at FIST. The ASIET's the highest package is limited to 20 LPA.
Average package: For FIST, the average placement package is between 6-7 LPA, however for ASIET, it is between 3-4 LPA.
Sector-wise placements: FIST offers core engineering positions in the manufacturing, energy, and construction sectors with businesses like BHEL, L&T, etc., while both have placements in IT and software.

BTech students are placed in top companies at top positions such as TCS, IBM, Orion, Cognizant, IBM,  and others. BTech students are provided with a good understanding of the specialisations in a Societal, Global, and Environmental context, consistent with the principles of sustainable development. The BTech students are taught technical skills and several other skills. Hence, it is worth pursuing BTech at FISAT. 

Fisat is one of the best self financing engineering college in Kerala. It is a private engineering college and business school located in Mookkannoor, Kerala, India. The college is run by the Federal Bank Officers' Association Educational Society and was established in 2002. FISAT is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated with KTU, Thiruvananthapuram. It is accredited by NAAC with 'A+' Grade & NBA (CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE & ME).

FISAT has always aimed for and is committed to achieving excellence. The same may be stated for the hostel facilities at the university. FISAT provides housing for 1200 students on campus that is both affordable and of excellent quality. The infrastructure is modern, and the setting is conducive to learning and recreational activities.

As a result of the rigorous design and excellent implementation, students will have more personal space. The ambiance is calm, serene, and secure, having a homey feel about it. There are two blocks in both the boys and girls hostels.

Being close to the city benefits students since it allows them more flexibility and freedom to meet their needs. Because we believe in the phrase "Healthy minds reside in healthy bodies, " students are encouraged to use the fitness centre and sports facilities given in the College and hostel blocks. The male hostel has a capacity of 600 people, while the female hostel has a capacity of 600 people. A cutting-edge fitness centre is open to both boys and girls.

Modern amenities are available in the kitchens and mess halls. The hostel has a strict hygiene policy and disposes of garbage using biogas and waste water treatment technology. A trained psychologist is also on hand on campus to ensure the well being of the hostel residents' well-being. Students can grow and learn in a pleasant and stress-free environment thanks to alert wardens and robust security systems.

Certifications: The NBA has recognised FIST's engineering programs for meeting high standards of quality. Only ASIET is ISO certified.
Placements: Every year, more than 250 reputable firms come to FIST to look for students, and over 80% of them are placed. Less than 100 recruiters work with ASIET, which has a 60% placement rate.
Faculty: With a concentration on research cooperation with institutions such as IISc, about 45% of the faculty at FIST are PhD candidates. Less PhDs are at ASIET.
Infrastructure: FIST boasts a 50-acre campus with state-of-the-art labs, dormitories, and recreational spaces like gyms and swimming pools. The infrastructure of ASIET is adequate.
Exposure: Compared to ASIET, FIST arranges more conferences and events and actively supports student publications.
