It is the best engineering college in South Kolkata.

Placements: Our college is situated in Sonarpur, Kolkata. I am studying MCA here. The placement rate in this college is almost 90%.

Infrastructure: Our college is very much neat and clean. The food served in the canteen is very much tasty, and I like coffee most here. I have lots of friends here, and there is no ragging in this college. There is a library also, and whenever we have time, we used to study there.

Faculty: I am studying at FIEM. Study materials provided here are understanding, and all subjects are easy. Faculty members are always available to help us whenever we need help. Sometimes they conduct extra classes. All faculty members are good. Whenever I need any help regarding study materials, they always provide.

Good placement and faculty with reasonable fees.

Placements: Students are placed in many reputed companies as like CTS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Genpact, HCL, etc. Wipro organises a separate on-campus drive for the B.Tech degree students. There are many non-criteria companies also. The non-criteria companies are InteraIt, E4E, etc.

Infrastructure: All the labs and classrooms are connected with Wi-Fi and are well equipped. There is a scope for various types of indoor and outdoor games as like TT, football, cricket, badminton, etc. Medical facilities are available in the campus. Every year, there are some sports events (intra and inter college).

Faculty: The faculty members are well experienced and qualified. They are very much helpful and supportive. Besides these, there are some industrial persons gives the flavour of the recent IT trends to the students. There are some value added course also as like PHP, .Net, Android, etc.

Other: The campus is fully rich with educational as well as cultural events. There are various clubs like Estrella (film club), sports club, etc. There are tech fest, cultural fest, etc. In the department, there is an alumni meet FAMCAD. Besides these, there are some social activities also.

Awesome experience in FIEM.

Placements: It is good for students who do not have overall 60% criteria in their academic career as most of the companies that come are basically for non-criteria students. MNCs also come and recruit students but most of the students get placed in small-scale companies which do not demand criteria. Overall, placements are good and you get 100% placement assistance. I got placed in two small companies and I am a non-criteria student who did not have overall 60% marks in the academic career. Generally, the placements on the campus consist of 3 rounds- written test, technical test and then the HR round. I am very much satisfied with the placement.

Infrastructure: The classrooms generally are not air-conditioned. The computer laboratories are average and generally, do not have high-end computers. They only consist of old computer systems. All the buildings are separated where different degree courses are don. For example, we have B.Tech, MBA and computer application buildings. There is only one canteen which is too costly for students and also the quantity of food that is given is very less, so I used to have my tiffin from outside shops. There are two auditoriums that are well-designed. You will get Wi-Fi in the whole college. More development is going on and I hope to see my college as a fully new and smart college.

Faculty: The faculty team is very co-operative and dedicated towards students. They are also strict and take regular classes, especially our computer application department faculty members who were very much dedicated, strict and guided us regarding our career. They were very much positive, interactive and cooperative towards students. They were strict about attendance, were inspiring and motivating. They used to provide us with notes and arranged seminars for providing new technologies to students. I find the faculty members very much positive.

Other: The semester fee is moderate compared to other colleges. Apart from the college curriculum, you will get the chance to participate in many cultural events like Famcad and Impulz that are organized by the students with the help of teachers. Every department organizes their own cultural event and seminars are also organized by the students. Overall, it was a nice experience studying in this college. I miss my college life. So, if you are looking for a college where you get an overall college life experience, this is the place.
