GMC Aurangabad MD admission is based on the applicants' performance in the NEET PG entrance exam. After appearing for the exam, applicants can register for NEET PG counselling conducted by MCC for the AIQ or by Maharashtra CET for the State/In-service Quota for seat allocation. The counselling bodies release merit lists for various counselling rounds. These lists are based on the applicants' NEET PG scores, choices filled while registering for counselling and availability of seats. Selected candidates must report to the college with the allotment letter and other original documents as specified.

NBE, the exam conducting body will be releasing the application form online. Candidates will have to complete registration first to submit application form. NEET PG 2025 application form was released on  April17, 2025. 

GMC Aurangabad offers admission to MD courses on the basis of valid NEET PG scores, followed by counselling rounds. For 2024, the NEET PG Round 1 is out, wherein the closing ranks varied between 38830 and 50386 for the MD courses among the studnets belonging to the General AI quota. Among all the MD specialisations, the most in-demand was MD in Community Medicine. The most lenient course to get into the Government Medical College, Aurangabad was MD in Anatomy. Application fee and other details is released by NBE. The fee remains the same as it was last year. In 2024, the application fee was reduced by INR 750 for each category. With reduced fee, candidates had to pay INR 3500 for general category while for SC/ST candidates had to pay INR 2500. Earlier candidates had to pay INR 4200 application fee for general category. It must be noted that paying exam fee is mandatory to submit NEET PG 2025 application form. 

MCC will announce dates and schedule for NEET PG 2025 counselling. Registration for round-1 counselling was started on October 17, 2025. Registration can be done on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Seats are allotted based on declared choices, availablity of seats, NEET PG rank, reservation factor etc. A separate seat allotment result is declared for each round.
