GMC Aurangabad MS admission is based on the applicants' performance in the NEET PG entrance exam. After appearing for the exam, applicants can register for NEET PG counselling conducted by MCC for the AIQ or by Maharashtra CET for the State/In-service Quota for seat allocation. The counselling bodies release merit lists for various counselling rounds. These lists are based on the applicants' NEET PG scores, choices filled while registering for counselling and availability of seats. Selected candidates must report to the college with the allotment letter and other original documents as specified. 

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra released the Maharashtra NEET PG counselling dates for 2025 on October 31, 2025. The registration process last date was extended from November 6, 2025, to November 11, 2025. In general, the registration window for Maharashtra NEET PG counselling lasts for five to seven days. Based on student requests and other external factors, CET Cell Maharashtra may extend the last date of registration.

Government Medical College, Aurangabad offers a three-year Master of Surgery (MS) in the full-time mode. Students pursuing the course can choose among four MS specialisations. The fees, duration, eligibility and selection criteria for all the specialisations are the same. The GMC Aurangabad MS specialisations are listed below:

The GMC Aurangabad MS admission process starts with applying for NEET PG, the accepted entrance exam for MS admission at the college. The application schedule for the exam varies yearly. In 2024, the exam form was released in April. The last date for NEET PG registration 2024 was May 6, 2024. After appearing for the exam, applicants must register for the NEET PG counselling. Application fee and other details is released by NBE. The fee remains the same as it was last year. In 2024, the application fee was reduced by INR 750 for each category. With reduced fee, candidates had to pay INR 3500 for general category while for SC/ST candidates had to pay INR 2500. Earlier candidates had to pay INR 4200 application fee for general category. It must be noted that paying exam fee is mandatory to submit NEET PG 2025 application form. 

NEET PG 2025 application form can be filled by all the eligible candidates. NBE will release the eligibility criteria with the official information brochure. Aspirants must possess an MBBS degree/provisional Pass Certificate. They should also have a permanent/ provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification. Candidates are advised to read all the eligibility requirements carefully for the exam. The application form is released online and candidates have to submit it there only.
