Absolutely satisfied to be a part of it, as it's one of Asia's oldest medical colleges.
Placements: Our placements are good as they are in district hospitals or primary health centers. After completing the MBBS program, students are required to undertake a one-year compulsory internship within the college's hospital. During this period, they receive a stipend ranging from Rs.20,000 to Rs.30,000 per month. Interns rotate through various departments, gaining hands-on clinical experience across specialties such as surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, medicine, and preventive and social medicine.
Infrastructure: The lecture halls are in good condition, but boys hostel is old. They don't provide good maintenance or basic necessities like water coolers, which are also not there. In the summer, it gets very hot over here as there is no AC. We also don't have proper canteen facilities, and the mess is not good.
Faculty: Faculty is helpful, and all exams are conducted in a regulated pattern. We have mentors assigned to us, and they keep a check on us all the time. Our curriculum is based on CBME, and we have OSCEs that are kept every now and then. We also have tests.

It is the best college for studying and research opportunities.
Placements: After the internship, some get the PG seat, some work as medical officers, and some work as a bond president. Some students also open their own clinics and some students give GPSC and UPSC exams and become IAS and IPS officers. Around 50 PG seats are there for MD and MS together. Not all the students get PG seats.
Infrastructure: The new lecture hall is built with 360 sitting capacity with full AC and E-board. Girl's hostel is newly built so it is a 3-star hotel. Boys' hostel is a little old but of good quality. It has water 24x7 hot and cold water. Students can wash clothes using washing machines.
Faculty: We are blessed to have such the best teachers. They literally make us fall in love with subjects like medicine, pediatrics, OBG, and surgery. Sometimes only a few teachers come and just read PPTs. Otherwise, all teachers are the best. Semester examinations are easy to pass if we study the previous year's question papers of the last 10 years.
Other: GMC is a college where along with studying we can do extracurricular activities like college fest, events, talks, and research, so I chose this college.

The oldest Medical College in Asia.
Placements: We are a total of 180 students. The lowest package is from 7-8L per annum, and there's no upper limit; it can go up to 20L or more. Government jobs and private hospitals hire. Every student has a compulsory internship. Roles include doctor, nurse, physiotherapist, MS teacher, dentist, etc.
Infrastructure: Lecture halls are new. There are 3 girls' hostels: 2 old and 1 new. 3 hostels for boys, separate. There is proper water supply, light, and security. The college has a huge library, no Wi-Fi, good classrooms, and a good hospital. It's probably the only government hospital that provides free CT scans and MRIs.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good, and teachers are strict. The course is CBME-based. It makes students ready for healthcare. Semesters are difficult to clear. Regular study is required to pass. Timely submission of assignments and attendance is needed.

Great faculty and environment.
Placements: Placements are provided by the college itself, among the departments at GMC, and at various other hospitals that come under the DHS. All students who clear the university exams get a chance to be interns, and the internship here is a really enjoyable time.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is up to the mark. We have excellent lecture halls and improved departmental buildings. One doesn't feel any lack of infrastructure in any department. We are practically equipped with all the essentials as well as more.
Faculty: Faculty is very responsible and understands their students very well and helps us achieve the goal of being an Indian medical graduate. The faculty themselves are doctors, so there is a strong trust in the concepts that they provide us with and give us a look into the life of a doctor.

Review of Goa Medical College and Hospital.
Placements: Since it's a medical college and placements are not like engineering colleges. So after MBBS normally one can do PG by answering NEET PG. Students can start own clinic or can join as MBBS doctor in a hospital. Students can apply for government jobs as medical officers in health departments.
Infrastructure: We have good facilities. We have central air-conditioned lecture halls, auditorium, library, and reading room. Hostels are also good and cheap for first-year students. There are 3 students in one room and for the final year single student room. Rooms are cleaned by eco clean, and washrooms are plenty and clean. Mess and canteens are Sodexo (to be honest, they are not good).
Faculty: We have pretty good faculty members. Consultants are nice, understanding, and knowledgeable. PGs help a lot and are friendly. CBME pattern is followed and completely based on NMC guidelines since it's a medical college and hospital. It is the only government hospital in Goa and we get pretty good clinical exposure and see all different kinds of cases. We are posted in different departments, operation theatre, outpatient department, RHC, and PHC. Passing exams is not difficult but regular study is required. The passing is 60-40% rule, either 60% in theory and 40% in practical and vice versa. The combined should be 50% and minimum 40% in theory and practical individual.
Other: We have plenty of events like plexus which is a college fest. We have Gomecon, which is All India Conference. Campus surroundings are greenery. Extracurricular activities like IMA, other college events like inter and intra college competitions are held.

A college with good facilities and a better learning experience.
Placements: The college offers a wonderful educational experience and helps students build clinical skills that are useful in working as doctors everywhere. They are paid as per the government salary in public setups, around 12-15 LPA. Many alumni now work for reputed medical institutes foreign earning millions of dollars.
Infrastructure: The new building, which is the super specialty block, has a state-of-the-art infrastructure with all facilities and is equipped with modern medical tools, as well as five-star hotel facilities. The old building is in very poor condition, the hostel is not in good condition, and the mess is the worst.
Faculty: The college is the sole medical college of the state, which makes it a focal point of medical administration for the state government. Being a tertiary medical setup, it consists of the best teachers and clinicians with a holistic knowledge of pedagogy and medicine. It is a great teaching medical center.
Other: It is highly crowded, a headache for patients but a boon for medical students, as it helps them gain immense experience.

Yes, you can now get admission in Goa Medical College or any other medical college in India. The only condition is that your NEET result should be higher than the cut-off marks of the Medical College. Higher your NEET exam score, better your college will be. If you scored more than 600 marks in NEET
