NEET PG 2027 Exam

NBEMS is expected to release the NEET PG 2027 exam notification in mid-June or by early July 2027. NEET PG exam is conducted to offer admission to MD/MS courses offered in medical colleges. Candidates who have completed MBBS from a recognized institute can appear for the NEET PG 2027 exam. However, they will have to fulfil other criteria too. NEET PG exam is conducted annually. 

Candidates will have to follow the NEET PG exam syllabus and paper pattern to prepare for the entrance exam. There is no fixed syllabus for NEET PG. NEET PG 2027 Dates

NBEMS will announce NEET PG exam dates 2027 online. Candidates can check the NEET PG exam date for the schedule of events such as registration, release of admit card, answer key, and result declaration. The tentative NEET PG 2027 exam date is provided below.

NEET PG 2027 Eligibility Criteria

The authority will release the NEET PG eligibility criteria for 2027 online. The eligibility criteria are the minimum conditions to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG. Those who fulfil the NEET PG eligibility criteria will be eligible to fill and submit the application form online. Below are the eligibility criteria for NET PG.

Education Qualification

The candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognised institute in India.

The candidates must have the Permanent or Provisional Registration Certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC/the erstwhile Medical Council of India or the State Medical Council. 

MBBS Internship Cutoff Date for NEET PG 2027

The candidates must have completed the one year of Internship or will be completing it by September 30, 2027.

Age Limit for NEET PG 2027

The Board does not mention any age limit requirement for the NEET PG exam. Candidates of any age can apply for the exam.

It is worth noting that the candidate found to be ineligible at any stage of NEET PG 2027 will not be permitted to appear in the exam or Counselling. The Board can even cancel the results of such candidates in case they qualify in the exam. 

NEET PG 2027 Syllabus

NBEMS does not release the NEET PG exam syllabus. Candidates will have to follow the syllabus referred to by the Medical Council of India. NEET PG questions paper will be based on the subjects covered in the MBBS course, such as clinical and pre-clinical subjects. 

NEET PG 2027 Exam Pattern

NBEMS revised the NEET PG exam pattern last year. They had reduced the total number of questions from 200 to 180. NEET PG exam pattern will be released online. Candidates will have to the check exam pattern through the information bulletin. NEST exam pattern 2027 will give insight into question paper structure. NEET PG 2027 Preparation Tips

Preparation is the major part of the entrance exam. As we know, there is no syllabus for the NEET PG exam, and candidates must follow the complete syllabus covered in MBBS. Therefore, candidates will have to plan their preparation smartly. The best way for NEET PG preparation is to start early. Do not wait until the last month for NEET PG exam preparation. Many students prepare for the NEET PG exam in the third year of MBBS. Here are a few tips for NEET PG exam preparation.

  • Create a study timetable.
  • Priority must be given to weaker subjects; then candidates can move forward.
  • Gather resources like past-year NEET PG question banks, books, study materials, and class notes.
  • Make handy notes of all important topics and delimitations.
  • Revision is a must. Revise what you have studied. This is the best way of remembering.
  • Focus on high-weightage topics.
  • Start solving at least 3 months before the exam. Moreover, attempt the NEET PG demo test. 
  • Keep track of preparation and focus on improving weaker sections.

Yes, NEET PG city intimation slip was released on August 11, 2026. Candidates can check the city intimation slip through login portal. They can know the exam city name through the NEET PG city intimation slip.

Yes, for postgraduate medical courses like MD and MS, colleges accept NEET PG scores. For super-specialty courses, NEET SS is required. MBBS admission, however, is based only on NEET UG.

No. NEET-PG is mandatory for all MD admissions in India across all colleges, government, private, deemed, and central institutions. There is no alternative entrance exam or direct admission route for MD. Even foreign nationals of Indian origin need to qualify in the relevant entrance process.
