It is a good government college in Tamil Nadu.
Placements: Good IT placements are available for students of every department. Core placements are low compared to IT. The highest package offered is 7 lacs per annum. Mostly everyone gets placed in companies. Core companies are less, but some companies come with 2 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Don't expect much on hostel and mess. They are average. Rooms are good. The food is average. There are 3 boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels. Mess facilities are available separately. A playground is available. A gym facility is available. RO water purifier and basic medical facilities are available.
Faculty: Academics are good. Lab facilities are good. The faculty are friendly and experts in their fields. Placements are good. The curriculum is framed well according to the latest trend. It is easier compared to Anna University syllabus. You can have lab sessions daily.
Other: Scholarships are available. The library is good.

A Good College for the middle class students with good facilities. An underrated college.
Placements: The college was established in the early 1990s. It is one of the best Government colleges. It is located on Chennai - Bangalore Highways near Bargur. Ashok Leyland and TCS are the main recruiters here. Above 95% of students go through internships.
Infrastructure: This college has well-maintained labs and well-teaching faculty members. There is a neat classroom and a good atmosphere. There are separate hostels for first, second, third, and final year students. Here, the mess fee is Rs 1,900 per month. An above-average food taste is provided there. Mess remains open all over the day. It provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has separate menus for all. Evening tea with some snacks is also provided here. There is ground near the hostel where we get to play cricket, football, volleyball and many other sports on the same ground. It has a dispensary also. It has good canteen facilities also with good food and snacks and beverages.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful to the students. They are well experienced and also encouraging. Their teaching techniques are also good. Since it is an autonomous college, question papers are unpredictable in the exams. 50% is the pass percentage for the students.
Other: I am studying B.E Mechanical Engineering at this college. I have chosen Mechanical Engineering because I am an 'Autoholic'. Students who have scored above the cutoff of 175 can be selected for this college. All courses are available in the same package which is around Rs 10k per year. Every year, there is a symposium conducted in the college and some cultural events are also organised for some times in the college. Scholarships for all the students are provided. If you are a hosteller, some extra amount is provided in that case.
