So, will be seen to be lagging behind in terms of the desired cutoff marks for Electrical, IT, etc.For example, for Civil Engineering, the cutoff might range between 77-78 for general category students whereas for IT might be closing to 90 based on previous year's trends. The cutoff exactly differs every year depending upon factors like how many applicants come, seat availability, and how difficult the exam was.

There are also scholarships for physically handicapped and economically / financially challenged learners. There is a fee-waiver scheme launched by the Maharashtra Government which is applied for meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections. Further, there are also cash rewards to the rank holders; the students can get loans from the nationalized banks for their education expenses.
