The Ministry of Education (MoE) will soon release the NIRF Engineering Rankings 2026, evaluating over 300 institutions across India. While hundreds of colleges participate, NIRF assigns exact numerical ranks and scores exclusively to the Top 100. Institutions ranked beyond the top 100 are grouped into broader bands (such as 101-150, 151-200, and 201-300) and listed alphabetically within each band rather than receiving individual ranks. As soon as the official announcement is made, this page will be updated with the complete, breakdown of India’s top 100 Engineering Colleges, including their specific rank, total score, and state-wise performance.
NIRF Rankings 2026 for Top 100 Engineering Colleges
NIRF Engineering Ranking 2026: The Ministry of Education (MoE) is expected to release the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2026 engineering ranking in September 2026. The list of top 100 engineering colleges in India 2026 will be announced online at nirfindia.org. The NIRF Engineering Ranking is released annually to rank engineering institutions across India on parameters including teaching, learning and resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception. Once released, the NIRF Engineering Ranking 2026 will provide the latest list of India’s top engineering colleges.

No. There is no qualifying percentile in JEE Main. However, the candidates who want to appear in JEE Advanced will have to get a minimum qualifying percentile in JEE Mains. This minimum qualifying percentile is announced with the JEE Main session 2 reult.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework, commonly known as NIRF, is a ranking framework introduced by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It ranks higher education institutions using a common methodology across different categories. Engineering is one of the categories under NIRF. The Engineering ranking allows students to compare participating engineering institutes based on factors such as teaching resources, research, graduation outcomes, outreach and perception.
The ranking is particularly useful for students comparing IITs, NITs, IIITs, government engineering colleges and other participating institutes.
