There are various scholarships available at the Government College of Engineering, Karad to which students can easily apply. The college provides scholarships to the students under the Indian government under the students; under SC, ST, and OBC categories. There are also scholarships for physically handicapped and economically / financially challenged learners. There is a fee-waiver scheme launched by the Maharashtra Government which is applied for meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections. Further, there are also cash rewards to the rank holders; the students can get loans from the nationalized banks for their education expenses.

Extra-curricular activities and clubs: Here the learning specific to Government College of Engineering, Karad, extra-curricular activities and clubs which shape up a comprehensive students' affair are as under. Among them are technical societies such as Ieee Student Chapter, SAE Collegiate Club, robotics club etc., that allow the student to improve their technical skills through work-shops and projects. Also, the college conducts cultural and sports activities, like, the annual technical fest “Spandan” wherein students can take part in several competitions, and sports meets in which students are encouraged to participate at group and individual levels.

The internship and training opportunities at the Government College of Engineering, Karad are agreeably good as several prominent organizations visit the college for hiring. The renowned IT recruiting companies are TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Persistent, and Capgemini. In general, graduates are offered an average salary package of Rs 4 LPA, however, some students have been placed with the highest salary package of Rs 25 LPA. Alongside this, the college has a good alumni base which extends a helping hand to the current campus placement process. The present placement cell of the college is very active and always engaged for providing better job prospects for its students.

To get admission to B.E. / B.Tech at Government College of Engineering, Karad, you must: 1. Meet Eligibility: At least 50% marks, (45% in case of reserved category candidates) in 12th standard in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biology and valid MHT-CET or JEE Main score. 2. Apply Online: Appearing either in the MHT-CET or JEE Main, one then has to apply through CAP for MHT-CET or CSAB for students from other states. 3. Counseling: Depending on the exam score student will be given a seat through CAP or CSAB. Legal document verification and concerning fees will be the final steps in this process.
