B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2027
5
5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Supportive faculty, great infrastructure, good placements, and an active, vibrant campus life.
Placements: In our batch of B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (2025) under Gujarat Technological University, around 70–75 percent of students are successfully placed. The highest package offered is around 8 LPA, the average package is about 3.5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, L&T, Bosch, and eInfochips. Nearly 60 percent of students received internships in reputed firms like BSNL, Reliance Jio, and Tata Communications. The major roles offered are embedded engineer, network engineer, design engineer, and software developer.
Infrastructure: The Electronics and Communication Engineering department is well-equipped with modern laboratories, high-speed Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and access to a digital and central library with e-learning resources. The hostel facilities are clean and well-maintained, providing good Wi-Fi connectivity and comfortable rooms. The mess and canteen offer hygienic and nutritious food with multiple meal options. The campus also provides medical facilities with a first-aid center and regular health check-ups. Students actively participate in various sports and recreational activities, supported by well-maintained sports grounds and gym facilities.
Faculty: The teachers in the Electronics and Communication Engineering department are highly qualified, experienced, and very supportive, always ready to help students beyond classroom learning. The teaching quality is excellent, with a good mix of theoretical and practical knowledge. The course curriculum is well-structured and updated as per industry standards, including lab work and project-based learning that make students industry ready. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty, focusing on both understanding and application. The pass percentage in the department is generally around 85–90 percent, reflecting effective teaching and student performance.
Other: I belong to the B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering batch of 2025 under Gujarat Technological University. I chose this course because of my strong interest in electronics, embedded systems, and communication technologies, which form the foundation of modern innovation. The best things about the course are the practical learning approach, well-equipped labs, and opportunities for projects and internships that enhance technical skills. However, I wish there were more industry collaborations and hands-on workshops to bridge the gap between academics and real-world applications. The campus has a vibrant atmosphere with regular technical fests, cultural events, and hackathons.

Good placements & campus life.
Placements: Our course achieved 88% placements. The highest package is 18 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is 6.8 LPA. Top recruiters: TCS, Infosys, Amazon, Deloitte. 78% got internships at firms like Microsoft & Tech Mahindra. Roles offered are software engineer, data analyst, and consultant.
Infrastructure: Our department has smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, and a library. The hostel offers clean rooms, a good mess, and canteen food, along with 24/7 medical aid, plus sports and games facilities. Overall, the infrastructure supports effective learning and student life. Food is good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable with good teaching quality. The curriculum is relevant and industry-focused. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, with most students clearing; the pass percentage is around 85–90%. They are good.
Other: I chose this course for career growth and interest. The best part is practical learning and placements. Improvement is needed in industry exposure. The campus has fests, an active crowd, good connectivity, scholarships, and extracurricular activities for overall development.

B.E. in Instrumentation and Control Engineering - Batch of 2027

Solid foundation, self-driven growth at GEC, Gandhinagar.
Placements: The placement percentage rate is between 30% and 40% for the current batches. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the lowest package is between 2.0 and 2.5 LPA. Top recruiters include Reliance, Adani Infrastructure, ABB, Siemens, and Zed-Ex. Top roles offered are automation engineer, quality control engineer, maintenance engineer, and service engineer.
Infrastructure: Labs are fully functional for M&I, control systems, PLC/SCADA, and DCS. Wi-Fi is available but not reliable, with modest speed. The library has technical books for all fields. Hostels are available for both girls and boys, but there is no mess in the hostels. There is a canteen on the college premises with only limited options.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified (mostly M.Tech and a few PhDs). Teaching is theory-focused with less industry exposure. We have industrial visits. Exams are moderately difficult, with an 80-90% pass rate. The curriculum covers core ICE subjects such as control, sensors, PLC, and embedded basics, which are strong but outdated.
Other: Low fees (Rs. 1500 per semester), basic but sufficient infrastructure. ROI depends on our effort.

Students who take admission in this college can create great and best memories of their life.
Placements: About 75% of students are placed in our Electronics & Communication department. The highest package is 9 LPA, the lowest package is 5 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Einfochips, and Robbin Computer. Almost all the students get internships, but some of the students get them without a stipend. Top roles offered are embedded engineering, PCB designer, etc.
Infrastructure: In our college, we have facilities like a hostel, a canteen, and a library. We have various departments for different branches. In each department, we have Wi-Fi services, labs, and smart classrooms. The food in the canteen is average, it's not that good. The facilities are average and need to be improved.
Faculty: We have highly qualified faculty members, like Ph.D. holders and university gold medalists. The teaching quality provided by our faculty members is good. This course is relevant for our best qualification. The semester exams are not difficult. To pass the mid-semester exam, we need 12 out of 30 marks paper. For GTU university semester exams, we need 23 out of 70 marks paper.
Other: I chose this course because it has a good scope for the future and creates great opportunities. The best thing about courses like VLSI System and Embedded Engineering, that they offer a very good opportunity for students to achieve their goals. The college organizes events like HackTheSpring25, Ideathon, Hackathon, and Tree Plantation. We also have various scholarships like MYSY, Post Matric, and Food Bill for hostel students. There are inter-college sports events as well.

It is absolutely nice because of seniors, faculty members, and different communities.
Placements: The package offered is around 3 LPA to 8 LPA, with more than 75% of students obtaining internships. Biomedical engineering sales and services are the main roles in hospitals and industries. Top companies are Medtronic, J&J, etc.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure includes a huge, clean music community, gymkhana, and library. They have different clubs, like the Cell. The hostel facilities are comfortable and cheap. In our time, the canteen facilities were not available, but they have a good sports community.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in nature and are knowledgeable. Mostly in the last semester, they want good PPTs. They provide education relevant to our course so we are ready for the industrial part. Exams seem to be good for me as they are conducted by GTU, but the passing percentage is not that much.
