It's a waste of time and money.

Placements: There are 70 students in my class, but by the 6th semester, only 26 remained. After the 6th semester, only 10 students passed on their first attempt, while the others failed. A few companies visit our college for placements, but the offers are below average and not enough to sustain a living. Most students do not accept placements through the college. Many students also had to repeat their first year.

Infrastructure: College classrooms have the worst infrastructure ever seen, with them being dirty and having leakage of water everywhere in the rainy season. There's a little canteen which just offers samosas only, and most of the time it remains close. There is no Wi-Fi.

Faculty: Teachers are quite good, but they don't take the problems of children seriously. The curriculum is also too old, BTEUP should upgrade it. There were few teachers of the mechanical department who got promotions, and they took transfers from here. Now, they don't even have qualified teachers for the mechanical department.

Other: I chose this course because I thought that I would gain some practical knowledge in mechanical engineering and also in CAD, but I was wrong. There are no events, the study environment is too crowded with poor students, and there is no alumni network. You will get a 100% scholarship if your attendance is 75% and above. There are no extracurricular activities.

Review of Government Polytechnic College, Ghaziabad.

Placements: Our college does not provide good placements. Top companies don't visit our campus. Around 40% of students got placed in our college with the highest salary package of 1.25 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. Around 2 companies visit our college.

Infrastructure: Our college buildings are not good. They are not good in condition. Classrooms are not good. All windows and fans are damaged. Our college has a playground where students can play games such as cricket, basketball, etc. Our college has a library. It does not provide hostel facilities.

Faculty: Our HOD is not good. Teachers are good. They support students throughout their academic journey. Semester exams are conducted well. The course curriculum is appropriate.

Review of Government Polytechnic College, Ghaziabad.

Placements: The placement percentage was around 60-70%, but our college claimed 90% of placements. Almost 98% of the students got placed with an average salary of INR Rs. 9,000-14,000 per month. Many students got a stipend of INR 9,500 per month. Our college placement cell was not good.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was not that good. Some students do not get computers in the laboratory. All tools and equipment were always out of stock in the workshop every time we went to the workshop we had to learn the cleaning skill of machines for 3 years.

Faculty: Semester exams were very easy. We used to know what type of questions will come in the paper. The course curriculum was outdated and copied. It did not include anything new and did not make us industry-ready.

Other: I would not recommend joining this college. It is not worth the money paid. There are a lot of other options where you can get better opportunities, placements, and life.

Our college provides good placements.

Placements: Almost 80% of students get placed every year. The average salary offered is Rs.15,000 per month for freshers with apprentice training. The salary packages depend on students' skills. Top recruiting companies are Bajaj, Hero, JSW, Maruti, L&T, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is decent. As a government college, it provides facilities like a laboratory, a library, and free Wi-Fi. The hostel is not good. The campus is good.

Faculty: Teachers are good. Their teaching quality is good. Every teacher is good in their field. They provide workshops. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are a little difficult but it depends on students' hard work. Almost 90% of students passed their exams.

Other: I opted for this course because this is unique and only this course is available in our college. Teaching methods should get improved. The surrounding areas are good.
