The BTech Civil Engineering syllabus focuses on both theoretical lectures as well as practical work.

With the help of lectures in the curriculum, theoretical concepts are introduced to students, tutorials provide space for solving problems and applications also.

And the labs offer hands-on experience to students who get acquainted with equipment and CAD software. Also, the field projects also allow students to apply their B Tech Civil Engg. skills and knowledge to design and implement communication systems.

The Electrical Engineering subjects for a BTech degree includes both core as well as elective subjects. The core subjects are mandatory for all the students to study in all the 8 semesters as they give you the foundational knowledge important to excel in the field in the future.

Talking about the elective subject choices, you do have some scope of customization there as you can pick the subjects as per your interests and understanding, the ones you find easy-going and fun to study and something you would like to take forward in your career. A few elective subjects in the BTech EE syllabus are VLSI Technology, Power Systems and Electronics, Control of Electrical Drives, etc.

Many PSUs conduct direct recruitment on the basis of marks scored in GATE instead of conducting their own separate recruitment examiantion. Electronics Engineer will also be required to qualify GATE in order to secure a job in PSUs. After qualifying for the exam with good marks, students may get a job in PSUs.
