This college is good for studying and skills building.
Placements: As a student at Government Polytechnic Pune (GPP), I can share that the placement experience here is generally positive, especially for core engineering branches. The college's dedicated training and placement cell actively collaborates with various industries to facilitate job opportunities for students.
Infrastructure: As a current student at Government Polytechnic Pune (GPP), I can share that the campus infrastructure is generally well-equipped and conducive to learning, though there are areas that could benefit from improvement. The hostel is very good for students.
Faculty: As a student at Government Polytechnic Pune (GPP), I feel the faculty members, curriculum, and examination system are strong points of the college, especially if we are serious about learning. This college is good for learning new skills and gaining experience of learning.

Absolutely satisfied with this college.
Placements: 60 percent of students at my college were placed in different companies, and 7.5 lacs is the highest package offered by the retail industry, and the lowest package is about 2 lacs. Cognizant is the top recruiting company. One disadvantage is that the student has to get an internship on their own capabilities; college doesn't interfere in it.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very clean and healthy. There are more than 10 hostels, which are very clean and safe with watchmen. The college has a good Wi-Fi connection in the labs, and the labs have very standard equipment. The quality of the food mess is very cheap; my personal opinion is to join a private mess.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable, all the teachers have masters degree in engineering; some teachers also have Ph.D. courses; the curriculum is very relevant and up-to-date, and this helps students get industry-ready semister college exam are moderate.

It is the best college for doing a diploma.
Placements: Placements at GPP were great. Almost all students got placements. The highest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA and the lowest was 2.3 LPA. Top recruiting companies were L&T, Blue Star, Thermax, Bajaj, and KSB Pumps. Blue Star and KSB offered the highest salary packages. There were no internship opportunities. We needed to find it on our own. The role offered was usually trainee. After training, we got the same role as an engineer but with less salary.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was great, but only for IT and CSE departments. For others, lectures were conducted in old buildings, which were not that great. The same goes for the benches and classroom quality. The rest of the facilities, like labs and libraries, were good. Wi-Fi was not available for students. However, we could use labs to access the internet. The infrastructure of our hostel was not good. The mess and canteen were also not up to the mark. GPP was well known for its sports culture. There were all types of sports, and we got opportunities to participate and enjoy.
Faculty: As it was a government college, all teachers were well qualified and had great knowledge. Not all teachers gave their best while teaching, and we needed to rely on self-study for most of the subjects. The course curriculum was good. It provided all the knowledge that a person should have after B.E. The curriculum was designed in such a way that it could cover most of the topics. Semester exams were moderate. It was easy to pass the exams but hard to get a good score or top rank. Almost 95% of students passed the exams.
Other: I have decided to go for mechanical engineering after my SSC itself, and that was the reason I chose a diploma rather than doing my 12th. The best thing about this course is that you will get practical knowledge and become technically great at the end of the course. You will have much more technical knowledge as compared with any second-year engineering student. GPP is well known for its campus, events, and fests. It does have a festival once a year. Almost all types of sports have been played on campus. Students get to participate in many extracurricular activities. The fee was very minimal. Students got government scholarships.

Government Polytechnic Pune is the best if you want to do diploma in mechanical engineering.
Placements: Government Polytechnic, Pune has a very active training and placement department. Companies like Tata Technologies, Schneider Electric, Kirloskar Pumps, L&T, Danfoss, and many more visit our campus for recruitment. Training and placement co-coordinators are very helpful.
Infrastructure: In our college, the mechanical department has well-equipped laboratories. Labs like fluid mechanics lab, refrigeration and air-conditioning lab, strength of materials lab, and power engineering lab are very enriched with experimental setups. Students can practically do experiments and try things hands on.
Faculty: The curriculum is outcome based which is very effective while students get into the industry. Most faculty members are Ph.D. holders. Lectures are very informative and enjoying at the same time. Teachers help with project-related work and other things. Faculty members give their valuable time to solve the doubts of students and sometimes, motivate them.
Other: Two more interesting things about the mechanical department are the advanced diploma in automotive mechatronics by Mercedes Benz India Pvt Ltd and two-wheeler service technician by Yamaha Motors India Pvt Ltd. Technofest, project competition, seminars, and paper presentation competitions are arranged in our college frequently.

Government Polytechnic Pune is an excellent and future-shaping institute.
Placements: Students who score above 85 or 86% can take admission in this institution. The salary package offered ranges from 2-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies like L&T, Thermax, Tata Consultancy Services, Cummins, etc., visit our college for placements. Students who score about 65% in academics can get placed here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good and very old. There are 6 buildings in which the main building is very old but still in good condition. Our college provides free Wi-Fi facility for students. Our college provides a government hostel, so it is not well-maintained, but good. A mess is organised by private catering, so the quality of the food served is good, and hygiene is also excellent.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were very good and experienced. They are very helpful about any need, and students can take full benefits of it. The course curriculum is designated by experienced faculty and industrial expert as it is an autonomous institute so that students can learn more practical oriented and logical study.

Hello Shaikh Museb, even though theoretically possible, practically it's next to impossible to do what you are desiring. It's actually transfer from one institute to another. Right? You can begin by asking administration staff of your college about this. Best wishes to you.
