GC University Silchar provides quality education, supportive faculty, and active campus life.
Placements: Around 70-80 percent of students in my batch are placed. The highest package is around 12 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and the average is 3-3.5 LPA. The top recruiters include ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Bandhan Bank, and TCS. Nearly 40 percent of students got internships in banks and startups. The common roles offered are relationship manager, banking officer, sales executive, and analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of GC University Silchar is quite good. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart boards, projectors, and Wi-Fi access. The library is well-stocked with textbooks, reference materials, and e-resources, along with a digital library facility. Our department has modern labs (computer/science) with updated equipment to support practical learning. The hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms, adequate water supply, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The mess provides hygienic food with a balanced diet, though the variety can be improved. Sports and extracurricular activities are well supported, with a playground, indoor games, and a gymnasium. Overall, the infrastructure is student-friendly and supportive.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified, approachable, and supportive. They make complex topics easy to understand through practical examples and interactive teaching. The curriculum is updated and relevant, helping students gain both theoretical knowledge and industry-oriented skills. The semester exams are moderately difficult but fair, focusing on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning. With proper preparation, most students perform well, and the overall pass percentage remains high.
Other: I chose this course because of its strong academic reputation and affordable fee structure, making it good value for money. The campus life is vibrant with fests, cultural programs, and active student participation, though more industry exposure and placement drives would make it even better.

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty, good placements, and really good infrastructure.
Placements: Placement percentage is between 76-80%, with the highest package being 72 LPA and the lowest 26 LPA, and an average of 76 LPA. Opportunities include working in museums, universities, colleges, and schools. At Assam University, the average score for a History professor is 8.3, and roles include History professor, assistant professor, museumist, and archaeologist. A good percentage is needed in O.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are available, and while not all classrooms are great, most are good. The library is also good, with all books available. The quality of the hostels is good, as my friends live there. The food quality is not bad, although juniors have to cook at times, and the canteen is good for anyone who wants to eat. Medical facilities are available, with a place inside the campus where minor injuries are treated. Sports and games are top-notch, with annual sports events, inter-college competitions, and some students even going on to play at the state level, which makes it even better.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but only our History teacher conducted classes for our course, along with the Anthropology teacher. The course curriculum is relevant and is good for someone aiming for civil services or a career in teaching. Semester exams are quite difficult, and if you are a good student, you will be able to answer them, but you must write 4 pages or more for 7-8 mark questions, as full marks are rarely awarded. The passing mark is 28 out of 70. Lastly, it’s advised not to argue with the teacher.
Other: I want to become a history teacher and the best thing is that the history teachers are good. It would be better if teachers came regularly for classes clubs were held for extracurricular activities and the college cricket team changed players instead of selecting the same ones every time. All things are okay in college.

Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 80% students get placement. Top roles offered are HR, Consultancy, teaching, assistance, management, bankers, influencers, marketing, receptionist, medical assistants, content writing, media assistant, lab assistant, tutors, social media manager and entrepreneur.
Infrastructure: The quality of food in the mess is good and also, hostel accommodation is good. The food in the college canteen is affordable and fresh. It is easily available for the students. The medical facilities are good and sports faculty is also active in the college.
Faculty: The teachers are good and helpful with the examinations. The semester exams as conducted under Assam University. It is quite easy to appear in them. The pass percentage is about 80%. It depends upon the sincerity of the students at the end.
Other: The extra curricular activities are quite active including the fests, annual meets, exhibitions, etc.

I am absolutely satisfied with its good faculty members.
Placements: About 40% to 50% of students were placed in our course. The highest salary package was around 1 LPA, the lowest was 0.4 LPA, and the average was 0.7 LPA. In our course, most students got placed as professors in government colleges. The top role offered was HOD at any government college.
Infrastructure: We had different departments for our courses. The hostel facility was quite good. Our seniors decided the menu. We played sports twice a week. We had a gym with a trainer. Medical help was provided.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful. They provided the notes for free. There was no extra tuition or charge. We got a lot of help from teachers. It made our exams easier. Exams were not that difficult.

Urgent infrastructure and curriculum modifications are required.
Placements: Gurucharan College does not have a great record as far as giving placements is concerned. Hardly, there will be a situation when a company comes in search of students at Gurucharan College to make them their employees. Most of the students either opt for Masters, move out of the town or look for government jobs.
Infrastructure: As far as my course is concerned, I studied English Literature which does not essentially require a lab. Situation of the classrooms and facilities such as Wi-fi are concerned, they are not in a good shape. Library's situation is poor too with new books coming very seldomly.
Faculty: I have been extremely lucky to have a group of very cordial teachers who are expert in their respective fields. The syllabus needs a little bit of a relook in order to make students industry ready. Semester exams have a medium difficulty level with 95% of students clearing their exams.

Our college has extraordinary faculty members.
Placements: In our college, almost 85% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 1 LPA and the lowest salary offered is Rs.3000 per month. There are no recruiting companies for anyone's course at our college, which may be because it's in a remote area. It's only about 10%. There are a lot of job options for us.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi on campus. We have quality labs, libraries, and classrooms that are neat and clean. The quality of facilities available in the hostel is just average. The environment of the hostel is not satisfactory. One may not find it comfortable for students.
Faculty: All teachers are very supportive, helpful, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is very relevant and it helps us a lot. Semester exams are good. The minimum pass percentage is 60%, while the maximum is 90%, and we often feel proud of our passing percentage.
Other: I chose this course because of its variation in the job industry. I think if there are recruiters, it can be much easier for us to get paid. Events are fair and students also get scholarships.

Not satisfied because of faculty, but the placements in 2020 and the infrastructure are good.
Placements: I am not absolutely satisfied because of the faculty. The placements in 2020 were good, but it has good infrastructure. Every year, not many students get placed in our college due to the competition. The highest salary package was 5 LPA, and the lowest package was 1 LPA. Very few students get this opportunity, and I heard that many students remain jobless.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The labs are good, and all the essential equipment is available. The classrooms are good as we get a peaceful environment. The hostel facilities are good. I have not stayed there, but I got to hear that from my friends.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified, and they taught us everything they could. I am actually satisfied with the teachers as I got to learn many things from them, and the semester exams were tough enough to make us well educated. The college makes the students practically ready to face the situations in real life.
Other: I chose it because I like arts. We get information about political and social life.

I’m a new student, and everything seems good. Teachers are funny.
Placements: The highest package may be 5 LPA and the lowest may be 1 LPA. I am a new student here, and everything seems good to me. As I am a new student, I don't know much about my college, but so far, everything I have observed is good.
