B.Com. in Financial Market - Batch of 2026

It is a great college to take admission in, with good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: About 60-70% of the students are placed by my college in my course. The highest salary is from Dutch Bank at about Rs. 45,000, and the lowest salary is about Rs. 2,000. Top recruiting companies for my course are Deloitte, JP Morgan, Dutch Bank, and Kalpatru.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is very good. We have Wi-Fi, but it is for college faculty and work purposes only. We have digital boards, classrooms, a library, computer labs, and more. There are good-quality food stalls near our college. We have a sports committee and a games committee for different types of activities.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is great. However, to some extent, the curriculum is not completely relevant and doesn’t make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not very difficult. The passing percentage for the college exams is 95%.
Other: I chose this course because I am pursuing a finance course called CMA US. It requires some knowledge of this field. I wish there were a practical subject that would provide us experience. That would be better.

I am satisfied because of the faculty.
Placements: A maximum number of students from HR College received on-campus placements. Roles like financial advisory, relationship manager, etc., are offered to students. 75% of students received placement offers. The college provides internships during the course for students to gain better practical knowledge.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available in the college. But the college is under construction, so we do not have a canteen and mess. The library and labs are in good condition. Air-conditioners and fans are good. Classrooms are spacious and have windows. Hostels are not available in the college. The infrastructure is still under construction.
Faculty: Teachers for our course are very helpful. It makes students ready for the corporate world. Exams are difficult for those who haven't attended any classes. The teaching quality is quite good. Supervision is strict.
Other: I chose this course as I was interested in finance. Various courses are available in HR. The faculty are friendly. I loved my course and college.

The best choice for commerce students. The people here are also friendly.
Placements: The college does not share information on which student got the highest package and which course was he/she from, etc. They share general information. So I will share the same here 1. We do not get information about a specific course placement but if I have to speak generally, then around 75-80 percent of students are placed from our college 2. Again no specific information about the highest and the lowest package from our course, but this year the highest package from our college was 12 LPA and the lowest was somewhat around 3LPA and the average was 4LPA - 5LPA 3. Top companies are JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Big4, Schbang, Indiabulls. 4. Again generally speaking, around 80-85 pervent students from the college get selected for internships 5. Not sure about the top roles but financial adviser and financial analyst is a role that BFM students get placed in.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not that good as we only have one building. But we have a library, labs, and we use the auditorium of our neighbouring college. The college does not have its own hostel so I cannot tell anything about the hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, they take their time and effort beyond the classroom studies and help us prepare for real life work. Apart from this we have sessions and seminars and talks from our course relevant people that help us get insights about the industry. The semester exams are difficult but if you study well then it should not be a problem. Tha passing percentage is 35percent.
Other: I chose BFM because I have an interest to learn about the markets. Genuinely speaking, this college can give you one of the best college life experience that someone can ever get. In FYJC, and SYJC, there is a club called RCHR where it has almost 300 members and you get to make a lot of friends, everyday there is some event or the other kept for the students and basically if you are a part of it then your first year will almost be spent in college as about 90 percent and 10 percent at home. The two main events are we are the world and vogue. It is really fun. Then you focus on board exams for SYJC but because you have made friends in rchr, that year also goes by. Then degree college also has clubs and fests.

It provides good crowd, very student friendly, and offered good packages.
Placements: There were 80 students in our batch, out of which around 10-15% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA, and the average salary pacakge offered was 4 LPA. Majorly finance-based roles were offered. There were a few audit roles offered and one role for actuarial science in the insurance department.
Infrastructure: This college had limited infrastructure, with air-conditioned rooms, Wi-Fi, computer laboratories, etc. It lacks a little compared to other colleges in Mumbai. But it compensates the same with the quality of faculty members, clubs, events, and crowd. Good quality in the canteen was good at an economical rate. The canteen offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. There was also a cafe offering a variety of beverages.
Faculty: Teachers were very much qualified and suited best for the role, teaching quality was decent. Faculty members were the authors of the subjects students were studying. The curriculum offered was much relevant to the course. Papers were set at moderate difficulty, and the pass rate was above 90%.
Other: I opted for this course, because of my interest in financial markets. There could had been more interesting and in-depth knowledge and subjects offered. Events, fests, the crowd was good, one of the best crowd students will find in Mumbai. Placements and packages offered were the best compared to other colleges.

Everything is good in the college except infrastructure.
Placements: I pursued BFM from HR college and was in 2015-18 batch. The placements were above average with around 75% of the people getting placed. The companies coming to campus were decent such as Deloitte, KPMG, EY etc. Roles offered vary according to the course that you've selected.
Infrastructure: Not great infrastructure as it only has a single building which is also rented to KC college. When I was passed out till that time not all classes had AC and nor Wi-Fi. It has IT lab and a library but hardly people use them. There are many clubs which you can be a part of like RCHR, ICHR etc.
Faculty: Faculty were quite qualified and helpful. They were knowledgeable and had industry experience as quite a few were visiting faculty. This course is very helpful if you want to learn about financial markets and want to pursue a career in finance. Overall after BMS and BAF, this is the third most demanded course and coming up now.
Other: Other than infrastructure it is one of the best colleges for people looking to pursue a career in commerce.

Very satisfied with the college. Placements in 2017 were good.
Placements: There are a lot of opportunities after passing out from our college. There is a placement cell to look after all the placement activities. Various companies visit the campus to hire students from the college. The placement cell available here is one of the best.
Infrastructure: The fee charged is low when compared to other colleges. The fee charged to pursue some courses is just Rs. 5,000 per year. The hostel facility is not provided by the college, but there are lots of hostels and PGs available nearby our college. There is a canteen available in the college, and it offers a variety of food to the students like juices and snacks. The food offered here is good and healthy.
Faculty: All the faculty members are very good at teaching, and I loved the faculty members of our college. They always to help you out with the difficulties. There are various courses available in the college for the students.
Other: A lot of college fests are celebrated every year. A lot of students participate and work very hard for the programmes.

It is a good college if you want extracurricular activities, along with study.
Placements: Placements were quite decent in our college. Every student who applied for placements got placed, and the salary packages offered were also quite good for a fresher. Various profiles were offered, such as finance, sales, marketing, accounting, PR, etc. A few international firms also visit here with more than Rs. 40,000 per month salary. The average stipend offered was around Rs. 25,000-30,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The campus is small and cosy. There were 2 computer labs and 5 floors to accommodate all the students. On the terrace of the building, all the cultural events and practices are conducted. There were 2 conference rooms which could accommodate 100 and 300 students respectively. The canteen was one of the most famous among all the colleges in Mumbai for its Chinese food and also had various other cuisines.
Faculty: The course curriculum is fairly new and not like a traditional B.Com. This course is more specific and makes you learn about the markets in great depth. These specialised courses are only available in Mumbai University. Mumbai being the financial capital, so it requires the new job applicants to be updated with their surroundings. Hence this course is more useful than regular B.Com course. Faculty members are good, very friendly and approachable. We never faced difficulty even communicating with the principal.
Other: HR is always one of the best performing colleges in Mumbai, be it performing arts or sports or academic events. Our college has always backed a position.

Immensely satisfied by the faculty, good placements every year, infrastructure is satisfactory.
Placements: H.R. is considered as one of the best colleges in Mumbai, mainly due to the placements it offers. Almost 95% students get placed every year in many companies such as KPMG, Deloitte, Bloomberg, Google, Axis Bank, Canara Robeco, EY, etc. Students were offered posts in various fields such as marketing, sales, Human Resource, chartered accountant, etc. The salary package ranges from 3 LPA to 9 LPA. The average package offered to the students was 4 LPA to 5 LPA. Almost everyone got internships from college with the stipend of Rs. 3000 to Rs. 10,000 where Rs.4000 to Rs.5000 being the average stipend.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not great, but one can complete his/her graduation without any hassles. There are water filters, a fully equipped library, spacious and clean classrooms. The food prepared in the canteen is of good quality and good to taste. The college doesn’t have accommodation facility. I haven’t faced any issue related to the infrastructure.
Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified and experienced. They don’t just prepare for our exams but also make us ready for the job. The faculty uses projects, presentations and other activities for teaching. The student to faculty ratio is 60:1. We got industry exposure. The course curriculum was helpful but not very much as it is more theoretical than practical, which is not the fault of the college as the Mumbai University decides the portion.
