Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology Highlights 2025
Established in 1966, the Hindustan Institute of Engineering and Technology (HIET), Chennai is run by the Hindustan Engineering Training Centre (HETC) Educational Society. HIET constitutes two colleges, namely Aviation College and Polytechnic College. HIET Polytechnic offers diploma and value-added courses in Engineering while HIET Aviation College offers Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) courses and several other courses to students. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course is approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India. Some of the courses provided by the college are AICTE and UGC-approved.
HIET has trained over 42,000 students as Engineers and Technicians. Over 5,000 of them are now working with several Airlines and Aviation industries in India and also in abroad.
