Through the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) course, students are taught skills such as repair, inspection, and maintenance of Aircraft. Students are also given an in-depth knowledge of Aerodynamics, Aircraft structures, and others. The basic role of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers is to keep the aircraft in top-notch condition, minimising the risk of several accidents/incidents and malfunctions. Also, AME students are placed in top companies in top positions. Hence, it is a good college for AME. 

Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology and Science admits students who have scored more than 50% marks in their Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent.

• An online Entrance Examination (HITSEEE) is conducted every year online. Students seeking admission for undergraduate programmes have to register online to appear for the Entrance Examination on dates specified in the media advertisements. The time duration of the entrance examination is 2 hours. Students are required to answer 120 questions covering Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Based on the entrance examination score and marks in the qualifying examination, a rank list is prepared for admission into U.G (Engineering & Technology) Programmes.

HIET offers Diploma courses such as Diploma in Automobile Engineering (DAE), Diploma in Computer Engineering (DCE), Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME), and Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (DEEE), each with an approved intake of 60 students.
