The campus placement is very poor, only a few seniors are placed, and sometimes they bring companies which are of no use to the students.

A beautiful college in the Hooghly district that bridges the gap.
Placements: I think the placement in this college is average, because the highest placement package till now is 15 LPA, on campus. The average placement is approximately 4 LPA. The Maximum CSE student got placed in a top company. Overall, it will be a good choice if anyone aims to take admission in the Hooghly district.
Infrastructure: I will give it 5 stars because the hostel is best for both boys and girls. There is a beautiful canteen with a variety of food and beverages. One can easily afford food at minimal cost. There are many computer labs with Wi-Fi installed. There is also a central library.
Faculty: Teacher are the best and their teaching skill are utmost great. There are highly qualified teachers who help students become industry ready. Semester exams are good. The exams are adequate to test the knowledge of students. Semester subjects are as per the requirement.
Other: There are many activities happening, like the Utkarsh event in Aquamarine Hooghly. In a month, there are many extracurricular activities. It organizes a tech fest and many other activities, which help students connect with the industry.

I would recommend others to take admission.
Placements: In our college, 50-60% of students get selected every year from our CSE department. The highest package ranges from 10-12 LPA. The average package ranges from 4-5 LPA. The lowest package ranges from 2-2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Amazon, etc. Top roles offered are full-stack developer, web developer, software engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Every classroom and lab has Wi-Fi installed. Classrooms are neat and clean. The library is also free to use for every student, and there are no additional charges for the library. The canteen facility is also available in our college, where both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. They also clear doubts of students. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are sometimes difficult and sometimes easy to pass.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a software engineer. The best thing about this course is coding. It should remove useless subjects. Everything is good here.

Don’t take admission! Hooghly Engineering and Technology College.
Placements: Students are placed by their skills. As our college is affiliated under MAKAUT, a huge number of students have backlogs, so they can't sit in the placement drives. Some of the companies like Reliance, Esaf Bank, Rashmi Group visited for placements. The average package is 3 lakh/year offered.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped, classes are good with good quality Wi-Fi connectivity. The canteen has a variety of food at a low price range. Not much sports are played, but the Annual sports meet-up, cricket tournament, etc. are organized from time to time. The boys' hostels are 1 km away from the college campus, but the girls' hostels are on the college campus.
Faculty: Not everyone, but some faculty members are really good. The Electrical department lacks a good number of qualified teachers. The semester exam difficulty level is moderate to hard, but can easily be passed if studied. But this also depends on luck because our university is reputed for their negligence in answer sheet checking, so it's based on luck to get passed.
Other: I chose this course according to my rank; I’m getting Electrical Engineering. Fests are well-organized every year. Campus life is poor, though. Now it’s up to you how you would utilize your college life.

Good teaching experience as well as good placement in the year 2025.
Placements: 90% of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 16LPA, the lowest is 4.5 LPA, and the average is 7.5-8 LPA. Amazon, TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Infosys, and many companies come to my college. 60-70% of students got internships in our college.
Infrastructure: 24-hour available Wi-Fi benefits, and the labs are good, as well as the lab teacher's teaching experience is very good. Classrooms are very good but require some improvement. We get all the books from our central library. The librarian is good, and they provide books easily.
Faculty: Our teachers have good knowledge about the subjects they teach, as well as excellent teaching experience regarding those subjects. It provides good knowledge and prepares us for industrial experience. Semester exams are very difficult in my college, but the pass percentage is 95% each year.

Best among all colleges in our district.
Placements: There is an average placement but good among all the prevailing colleges in our district. Several companies have taken the students, such as Cognizant, Coffee Cafe Day, etc. Approximately 10 LPA is the highest till now. I saw on college website that CSE student number is more than all departments.
Infrastructure: There is an available canteen, which provides a wide range of food and beverages, and the behaviour of staff is utmost polite. Both girls' and boys' hostels are there. There is a central library providing a wide range of books. The food quality is wow, having both veg and non-veg food.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. One can check at college website. The semester exam is really good to verify one's knowledge. Teacher asks the difficulty level of semester exam after examination and suggests a better way to answer. Approximately 80% students have a good passing score.
Other: College organizes every event, like tech fest. It helps in providing a scholarship from SVCMC. Overall, it is a good college from all sides. Every year, the college organizes a beautiful event named Utkarsh.

Satisfied with the college.
Placements: The placement situation isn't looking good right now, but civil, electrical, and mechanical departments have achieved good placements; the average salary for them is 6 LPA. However, I hope CSE and ECE will get better placements in the coming years. Every role offered is a top role in our college.
Infrastructure: Medical facilities are good. Sports and games are the best aspects of our college, with an annual sports day followed by a cricket tournament, and a few months later, a football tournament, which is exciting. The entire campus is Wi- Fi enabled, and the labs and classrooms are much better.
Faculty: I am giving a 3-star rating because of the university, MAKAUT. They provide a lengthy syllabus for a 6-month course, but only allocate 3 months of preparation time. Additionally, the quality of the exam questions is poor, often including off-topic questions, which results in receiving fewer marks, even when we write correct answers. On a positive note, our college does a great job of trying to help students in this situation.
Other: The only negative aspect is the head of the CSE department and the university; apart from that, the college is good.
