I am student at IIITDM Kancheepuram.

Placements: From my knowledge, Chennai has high opportunities. If we know things like coding languages, we can take the help of the professors and build two to three projects, then apply for the internships. On average, people will get 6 LPA - 9 LPA package. I heard from seniors that he got a job that pays Rs 20,000 - Rs 30,000 per month.

Infrastructure: Hostel is fine, and they will clean the washrooms daily. They will also clean the floors. The quality of food and taste is also okay but once or twice every 2 weeks, the mess food is not that much tasty and well prepared. They will provide high-protein foods like paneer and dal. For right now, there is no chicken curry for free so we have to pay the bill. Sports are available like cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, basketball, cricket, chess, carrom, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and some of the faculty explain one concept from two to three point of view for the better understanding of the students. There will be timings for the faculty availability in a week so if we have any doubts, we can approach them. Some of the teachers are very friendly if we behave properly with them.

Excellent infrastructure and friendly campus vibe.

Placements: Placement rate for B.Tech in smart manufacturing is reported as 28.6% ongoing. According to last year 2024, a much higher figure was indicated, with 73% of smart manufacturing batch placed. The highest package offered is 12.2LPA in 2025, average package offered is 6.75LPA in 2024, and the lowest package offered is 6LPA, according to 2024 data. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Adobe, Samsung, Google, Virtusa, etc.

Infrastructure: Lecture halls are technologically equipped to support dynamic discussions. Group discussion and interview room support placement activities. The entire campus, including the academic blocks and hostels Wi-Fi is enabled. LAN connections are also available in hostels. We have advanced department labs. The institute has specialized labs across disciplines.

Faculty: Teachers are supportive, and they are helpful to the students too much. Every faculty member is highly talented and knowledgeable. Everyone has done Ph.D. in their respective courses. The teaching quality is excellent, and they are using the smart boards when required and projector for slides. They often use the blackboard for better understanding of the students. They are giving homework, assignments, and projects to make a real-type prototype for every project.

Other: I chose smart manufacturing at IIITDM Kancheepuram because it is one of the first institutions in India to offer this unique program that blends Mechanical Engineering with Electronics, Computer Science, and Data Analytics. The course is closely aligned with Industry 4.0, which focuses on automation robotics, IoT, and AI in manufacturing. I wanted to gain interdisciplinary knowledge and skills that would prepare me for the future of modern industry.

Everything is good, faculty is .

Placements: The placement rate is 80%, the highest package is 45 LPA, and the lowest is 9 LPA. AMD, Intel, Google, startup companies, JPMorgan, and some others are among the top recruiting companies. For campus placement, I can give an average rate of about 80%, with two roles being VLSI engineer, electronic design engineer, and some others.

Infrastructure: I can give 4 stars, which is more than enough. Classrooms and library, I can give 4-4.5. The mess is below average. The medical facility is good. Sports and games, I can give 4.5.

Faculty: Teachers are supportive. They are knowledgeable, and the course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not too hard; you can pass easily. The pass percentage is 98%, which depends on the student. If they try, they can easily get 8.5, which is good.

Other: I took this course because I like dealing with hardware and VLSI, mainly for the skills. There is only one fest, which lasts about 5 days: "Samghatha." Don't expect much; extracurricular activities are average.

It's a good college to study if you have a lower rank to join NITs.

Placements: 35 LPA is the highest. I don't know the lowest package. Overall average placements. Many students do internships, such as a paid internship, because they are important and a good thing. The ECE department is good here, and you can be taught by good lecturers, except that some of them are common.

Infrastructure: Small rooms for freshers. Building a new one until then, average rooms. Food is good. Sports are the best thing in college. Wi-Fi is not available in the hostel rooms, whereas you get Ethernet, which does not often work properly, but you can get Wi-Fi in college.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, except for some. Exams' difficulty is medium to hard. For one semester, they conduct a mid-term and a final exam. One semester only lasts for 70 days here, i.e., 70 working days. Teachers are all highly qualified.

Other: Events are not up to the mark. Scholarships are available in all colleges.

There is one canteen in college, and the price is affordable.

Faculty: Teachers are supportive. They are knowledgeable. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not too hard, you can pass easily. The pass percentage is 98%. It depends on the student if they try, they can easily get 8.5, which is good.

Indian Institute of Information Technology.

Placements: The maximum number of students in my college have joined the CSE course. It now has one of the most job offers. Many students have joined through JEE Main or EAMCET. The highest package was 40 LPA, and the lowest package was 3 LPA.

Infrastructure: We have the best infrastructure provided by the government. We have nice AC classrooms and AC hostel rooms. We have Wi-Fi available here all the time. We also have so many libraries here and so many labs for doing experiments. We have so many varieties of food items here

Faculty: The best faculty are placed here. They are well-trained and well-educated professors. Their teaching skills are very nice, and we absolutely understand what they teach. This course is completely relevant to software companies and not about industries. The semester is more difficult, even some faculty members cannot find the answers for the exam paper.
