Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations - Batch of 2020

Post graduate diploma in advertising and public relations.
Placements: Sony Entertainment Television, ZEE TV, ETV Network, The Times of India were some of the mentionable recruiters from our college in the particular sections like advertising manager, media works, marketing management. The guaranteed top salary package starts from 7.45 LPA to 11.9 LPA for every financial year.
Infrastructure: It was slightly over-polluted environment and located in highly crowded areas. So we should get ready 10 minutes prior to the reach-in time every day. There were no limitations in the dress code of the girls and boys students, it's mostly based on their choices. The whole campus zone was cleaned frequently.
Faculty: Teachers always insisted us to follow both the academics and career path. They would assign meaningful assignments and gave proper feedback on our projects and assignment work. But only limited number of teachers were assigned to our department. Teachers often conduct some discussions to catch up with the students' ideas.

My review about this college.
Placements: Placement wing coordinated with many media companies to visit our campus for a job fair. Internship model was sponsored by the college after which we could continue to work or go for higher studies. Mostly all major mainstream media come for the placements. Some of the big names like the Times group, The Hindu, Hindustan Times, Zee, Network 18 Group for Multimedia journalism and Bloomberg, Reuters, Business Today, CNBC, etc. For business journalism, the average package was 3.2 LPA. 100% of placement was assured for every student who passed to course.
Infrastructure: My time at this college was transformative, offering a holistic education that goes beyond textbooks. The combination of practical focus, eminent faculty, and remarkable placements makes it an unparalleled choice for those aspiring to thrive in the media landscape. College had three hostels which accommodated almost 100 students. Both single and sharing rooms were available. The rooms were spacious and well-ventilated with all basic requirements like bed, cupboard, study table and chair, self, side tables and study lamps, and even dressing tables. The PGs had a good mess service which served quality and hygienic food.
Faculty: All faculty members from the core faculty members, adjacent faculty members, and guest lecturers were very well-trained and had great experience in this industry. The faculty members provided knowledge to the students not just to post the knowledge in them but to educate them and show them how things actually work. There were two semesters and there was an exam at the end of each semester. The exams did not require you to cram up but rather to understand the subject well. The schedule was hectic as far as practicals were concerned but still very enjoyable.

It has average facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: About 52% of students get placed in my course. Top recruiting companies for our course are Times of India, Dainik Bhaskar, HT Media, etc. The highest package is 9 LPA, and the average package is 5.5 LPA. The lowest package is 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are not so big and comfortable. A library consisting of all the requirements. The Wi-Fi facility is not working properly. The hostel rooms are average and the quality of food available in the mess is acceptable. Limited sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers are experienced but not so skilled and knowledgeable. They only teach without taking care of the student's comfort. The course curriculum is not relevant because no activities are conducted by the college. Semester exams are not difficult.

Delighted to get studied in this college.
Placements: The percentage of placement would be usually between 62% to 73%, with major recruiters like NDTV, Sony, The Indian Express, and The Quint. Also, they are providing various skills training that were preferred by the various companies in upcoming years.
Infrastructure: College built with digital classrooms, audio and video-equipped studios, with all the amenities. Multiple hostel facilities arranged for the students based on their range of payment. Our college was constructed in central location of the city which would easier to reach college regularly.
Faculty: Years of experienced faculty members with stronger knowledge of the media and communication industries. The examinations were moderately complex even to clear. The rate of end results would range between 70% to 84% all the year. The course curriculum was more relevant to the subjects.

Review of Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi.
Placements: There are a lot of options for doing our desired jobs in various companies like Blue Lotus Communications, Nielsen India, Interconnect News and ITV Network in multiple positions. The packages are so appreciative, which would start from 3.4 LPA.
Faculty: Teachers are so optimistic and highly graded with good experience. Their teaching quality really means their experience of teaching. They are too strict and sometimes behave impolitely. I am okay with the teaching quality of them, but not with their other activities.
Other: The college sets some motto and principles in maintaining the college with good fame. So they will not allow the students to participate in any extracurricular activities often. If they allows us to do something it's only under the proper guidance of teachers.

Great place to study Journalism.
Placements: In my batch at IIMC, 75% of students were placed. 100% of students secured internships, including opportunities with companies like the Times of India for roles such as reporters.
Infrastructure: At IIMC, our course was held in modern classrooms, though there was no Wi-Fi. The library was small, and there were only a few computers. The hostels were clean and provided essential amenities. The mess and canteen served decent food, but there were no medical facilities, and no sports like basketball, cricket, or a gym were available.
Faculty: The IIMC faculty were experienced, knowledgeable, and supportive. The curriculum was relevant and industry-focused, preparing students well for media and communication roles. Semester exams were moderately challenging, with a high pass percentage of around 95%.
