My student life in Indian Institute of Technology, Patna.

Placements: It was a good opportunity for all of us being a part of IIT Patna. Our friends including my batch got the placement like my best friend got 8 LPA. However, I'm willing to get the government job and still looking for better opportunity. All I will say is that if you have passion, then this university will help you a lot.

Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The college has Well maintained classes. There is an incredible library. Our college had the medical team and needed medical help. Big fields for the outdoor activities. The college has all the sports equipment. The canteen food is too good, and its special dish is chicken chilli. It was all good being a part of Patna IT.

Faculty: All our teachers are friendly and are always available to help. I have all the teachers contacts, where I can ask them for help and notes. All the teachers here were known to me as many were from Bihar. They know how to teach and make the students concentrate.

Other: It's a bit out area and bit boring too, but makes a good environment for students. Our campus is crowded with the fest and events.

IIT Patna: A new IIT with a Good campus, placements, faculty members and resources.

Placements: The placement ratio at IIT Patna is almost 84% (CPI 7 or above). In Computer Science, it is almost 100%. The companies like Amazon, Flipkart, ISRO, IOCL, Samsung R&D, Indian Oil, DRDO, Goldman Sachs, etc., visit every year for job offers and some of them also for internship offers. The average salary is about 12 Lacs. The highest salary this year is 40 Lacs in Adobe. The students are mainly placed in IT companies, research institutes like DRDO, Business firms and their respective core companies. In the second year, some students do get their intern in Start-ups, G-Soc etc. In the third year, almost everyone gets an intern in industrial intern, research intern both in India and abroad. We have a TPC (Training and Placement Cell), which works for making more companies come for job and intern offers. The placement at IIT Patna is increasing at a good pace. TPC is very useful for providing opportunities to the students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is sufficient for the strength present (1200), and the construction work is going on at a fast rate. We have proper labs for each of the streams, Admin Building, 4 Departmental blocks, 1 tutorial block, 4 wing boys hostel, faculty quarter, etc. Many more dept buildings, hostel and gymkhana building work is in progress. We have high-speed Wi-Fi hostels, Library and Computer centres. We have ground for cricket, football, volleyball, Basketball, tennis court etc. We have a hospital on our campus associated with Ruban Memorial Hospitals. All labs and classrooms are equipped with audio-visual facilities. The labs are modern in type. All the departments have their proper lab equipment. In the hostel for 3 B.Tech batches, two sharing rooms are there, and for others, single sharing rooms are available. Room space is also fine for sharing in two. Whatever infra is there, that's enough or even fine and what matters is it is completely new, attractive and modern.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified. Most of them have a PhD degree from older IITs and foreign universities. So they are well expert in their respective field. They are helpful and encouraging for innovation and research work. The teaching quality is good. TA's (Teaching Assistants) who are mostly PhD also helps BTech students in their course. As teaching method slides representation and board work, both are used. The teachers communicate with the students through webmail etc. There are around 1200 students (B Tech, M.Tech, PhD, M.Sc.. ) and faculty members are around 60. So, this is the ratio. Our IIT curriculum is same as most of the other older IITs. Earlier it was mentored by IIT Guwahati. Now we have our well-composed curriculum. Yes, it is developed by keeping in mind the current scenario, so it is quite good for every branch.

Other: We have technical, cultural, techno-management fests, sports fest etc. ANWESHA is the annual fest of our college which has a big outreach. CELESTA is our techno-management fest held every year. Media and PR team have a good reach among other colleges. Many Lectures of renowned profs are held throughout the year both by the student body and college. The campus is located around 26 Km's away from main Patna city in the place called BIHTA. Our students get scholarships from Central government and other sources. Institute provide concession on college fee on the income basis. Institute also give the scholarships on the income basis. Here you get a lot of extra and co-curricular activities throughout the year for the development of your personality. INFINITO is our annual sports fest.

Really good facilities and good placements.

Placements: The placements of the students are good. Most of the students are placed during placement session. Various companies are hiring students every year, approximately 70-80 companies are there for placement and internship. Approximately, 80% of the students are placed, and rest are going for their higher studies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not that good because there is construction is going on and new buildings are constructed. Apart from buildings, Wi-Fi is very good, you can access Wi-Fi everywhere on the campus, and there is a digital library also which has many subscriptions.

Faculty: The faculty are good. 3 faculty members are selected as India's best faculty and awarded by the president of India in Rastrapathi Bhawan. The course curriculum is same as of the old IITs. We are also following the courses of old IITs. In our college, various projects are going on like research in 5G is started in IIT Patna.

Other: The festivals of IIT Patna, Anwesha-techno cultural fest which is organised in the last week of January. And, second is celesta which is a technical fest of IIT Patna, and IITP has its sports fest also infinito.

IIT, is one of the best colleges in Patna.

Placements: As IITs are well-known institutions in the world, even after being a relatively newer IIT, IIT Patna has a great placement record with above 80% placements and 100% in CSE branch. Last year, the average package of CSE branch was whooping 14.28 LPA. One of our seniors has recieved a 2 crore per annum as the package from Google. Our training and placement cell assures the internship and the jobs for all the students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIT, Patna can be safely called as the best among all new IITs established in 2008. IITP got it's permanent campus in 2015 and has got well-finished laboratories and the hostel room. Most of the new buildings are still under construction. Our whole campus is enabled with the Wi-Fi, which is super fast.

Faculty: IITP has a great squad of faculty members, who are renowned in their respective fields. Almost every faculty has a good research background with the best teaching quality. The faculty members in here have the great contacts, which proves helpful while getting some research internships in the well-known institutes.

Other: Every year, the college organise two fests. One is technical called Celesta, and the other is techno-cultural management fest called Anwesha, which is a highlight on the campus.

Other: This is off-course a third generation IIT opened along with IIT Hyderabad, Mandi, Bhubaneswar, Indore, and Gandhinagar. The Institute has now it’s campus covering more than 500acres of land. At par of IIT it has all basic amenities and few of advance amenities have still to be developed as it has all the provisions. The education standard is good at B.Tech level and research level too.
