My Experience as a B.Sc. Biotech Student: The Good & The Challenges.
Placements: I am a B.Sc. A biotechnology student, and in our course, around 55-60% of students get placed, mostly in labs, hospitals, and research support companies. The highest package is usually around 5-6 LPA, the lowest around 1.8 LPA, and the average stays near 2.5-3 LPA. Companies like Biocon, Cipla, and local research labs visit for hiring and internships. About half of the students also get internships in hospitals, diagnostic labs, and biotech startups. The top roles include lab technician, quality control trainee, research assistant, and clinical intern. Placements are decent if you are genuinely interested in lab work and research.
Infrastructure: Our biotechnology department has well-equipped labs with microscopes, centrifuges, and a proper practical setup. The classrooms have projectors, and the campus Wi-Fi works most of the time smoothly. The library has a good collection of biotech books and journals that help during exams and practical files. As a girl, I feel the hostel is safe with strict entry timings, clean washrooms, and regular housekeeping. The mess food is manageable and simple. The canteen is a good escape when we crave tasty snacks. The campus also has medical support, sports areas, and peaceful spots to study.
Faculty: The faculty is supportive, qualified, and very approachable. Most teachers explain experiments in details, which really helps during practical exams. The curriculum feels relevant because it covers microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, and other subjects useful for higher studies or lab careers. Exams are moderate; theory needs good writing and diagrams, while practical require consistent practice. If you attend classes regularly, scoring well isn? T difficult. The pass percentage is usually high because teachers help with notes and revision sessions.
Other: Considering the properly equipped labs, safe hostel, and approachable faculty, the course feels worth the fee. For a biotechnology degree, the college provides a good balance of theory, practical exposure, and academic support.

Review of IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus
Placements: I am a BCA student, and placements in our course are fairly good. Around 70–75% of students get placed, with the highest package around 8–9 LPA and an average of 3–4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Capgemini visit each year. Many of us also get internships in IT firms and startups, which help in gaining real experience. Most roles offered are developer trainee, support engineer, QA intern, and web assistant.
Infrastructure: Our campus is clean and well-maintained. It includes good labs, Wi-Fi, projectors, and a peaceful library. As a female student, I find the hostel environment safe and comfortable. Rooms are clean. Security is strict, and basic needs are taken care of. The mess food is simple but decent. The canteen offers better snack options. Medical help and sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Faculty is supportive and easy to approach. They explain concepts clearly and provide help before exams. The BCA curriculum is relevant and includes useful theory and practical skills. Exams are moderate and not too tough if you study regularly. The pass percentage is good. Teachers guide us with assignments and projects. It makes the course manageable and helpful for future careers.
Other: I chose BCA because I have always been curious about computing and wanted a course that builds real skills. The best part is the supportive teachers and friendly atmosphere in my batch. I wish the course had more hands-on projects and advanced workshops. Our college fests are lively, the campus crowd is positive, and connectivity is easy. The surroundings feel safe. We get opportunities for scholarships and extracurricular activities. Overall, it is a good place to grow academically and personally.

Decent college, but, bad ROI.
Placements: The placement chances for the B.Sc. Biotechnology degree at IMS Ghaziabad, where I studied, fell short of expectations. The majority of the available positions were in sales and marketing and had little to do with the biotechnology industry. However, given the ability levels, the compensation amount was fair. Most pupils decided to continue their education. Despite this disadvantage, the opportunities were comparatively better than those offered by other universities offering a B.Sc. In biotechnology.
Infrastructure: There isn't much open space on the IMS Ghaziabad campus, and there isn't much ground. The facilities at the canteen are not particularly impressive, and many think they are rather pricey. There aren't many extracurricular activities, and there aren't many events planned all year long. Nonetheless, the freshmen parties and annual fests are entertaining and well-planned, bringing some energy to campus life. On the plus side, the campus has first-rate Wi-Fi and air conditioning, which guarantee that students are comfortable and connected.
Faculty: Professors are incredibly supportive, informative, and competent. Twice a year, internal exams are carried out. To help them learn, students are given the right notes and study resources. Additionally, the practical sessions and lab facilities are acceptable.

Good placement in 2024 and good infrastructure.
Placements: The placement is kind of good. There is a particular placement cell in our college. I have heard a lot of seniors got placement from this college with satisfying salary packages. Students of our college got placement in the best companies of India, like Amazon, Flipkart, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is nice, but the college area is not much. There is very little space, and it almost feels like a school. But classes and labs are well-defined. The hostel is also good, and the food is quite satisfying, with a variety of food served according to the timetable.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable. They help us in every way. The course curriculum is relevant, and the students are industry-ready. They give a large amount of knowledge with industrial visits. The difficulty level is medium, and the pass percentage is 33%. They always give notes for the preparation of students.
Other: I chose this course for going into the advertising field and public relations. They also give you practical knowledge related to journalism. They should give more practical time than theory to improve the course. The crowd is also fine, and students are also encouraging and friendly. Events are also quite fun, and the surroundings are also good.
