A list of the reality around campus.
Placements: It's only been 3 years since the course started and none of the batches have passed out, so I can't really specify anything in the placement section. However, our seniors have received good help and support from the teaching and admin staff for internships.
Infrastructure: There's a college hostel, but there isn't any mess in it and the prices are too high to be very honest from a student's perspective. Classrooms are sufficient, but not equipped with good enough facilities. The chairs are broken, and light outs are a very common issue.
Faculty: Faculty members are really good. They are really experienced in their respective fields and highly skilled in teaching, though there are exceptions everywhere. Our curriculum is quite precisely chosen, and the set is what I feel, like everyone else. In the first year, the base subjects remain the same, but later on get more specialized.
Other: Overall, it's a good choice, of course, if you're focused on your career.

Q:   Does Indian Institute for Aeronautical Engineering and Information Technology have better placements than IIEST Shibpur?
A:

The Indian Institute for Aeronautical Engineering and Information Technology provides better placement than IIEST Shibpur as BTech in Aeronautical Engineering provides better practical knowledge. Both colleges are the same in terms of placement percentage but the difference is in the companies that took part in the placement drive.

Q:   Is IIAEIT Pune more expensive than IIEST Shibpur?
A:

The B.Tech programme is the hallmark course of IIEST Shibpur. The B.Tech programme at IIEST Shibpur has a tuition cost of INR 62,500 per semester for applicants in the General/OBC/EWS category whose family income is more than INR 5 Lacs and INR 20,833 per semester for the students in the SC/ST category whose family income is between INR 1 and 5 lakhs.

On the other hand, the IIAEIT in Pune has a set of fees that include those for registration,   admission, tuition, books, lab/library use, uniforms, and more. For the full four-year program, the cost of Aeronautical engineering in IIAEIT Pune would range from Rs 4 Lacs to Rs 8 lakh.

Therefore, the fee structure of both universities is almost in the same range thus it depends on students which institute they want to join based on their preferences.

Q:   Should I consider IIAEIT for studying MTech?
A:

A number of criteria, including a candidate's areas of interest, financial constraints, and expectations for practical experience, influence their decision to enrol in IIAEIT's M.Tech program.  The institute specializes in subjects relating to aerospace. But careful consideration should be given to placement records, faculty, and infrastructure.
