Review of Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology.
Placements: Placements occur after 2 semesters. Companies like Eli Lilly, Novartis, and Stand Life Sciences hire candidates. The highest package offered is 12 LPA by TCS. I plan to participate in the placements as well. Almost 95% of students got placed. The details are posted on the IBAB website.
Infrastructure: The college does not provide hostel facilities, but many private hostels are located around the college at minimal rent. Students from outside the town can stay here at very low expenses.
Faculty: The curriculum is suitable for both industry needs and Ph. D. applicants, and it is up- to- date. The exams are challenging, as they should be, given the quality of the course. The curriculum focuses on both wet lab and dry lab skills that meet today' s industry requirements. We have assigned mentors who interact with us regularly, providing guidance on our careers and interests. The faculty consists of excellent researchers who are passionate about their fields. The syllabus for M. Sc. courses has been designed strictly according to UGC guidelines. The syllabus is extensive, and the faculty is very experienced and knowledgeable. The lab facilities are good.

About life in IBAB, Bengaluru.
Placements: 85% of students got placed. The average package is 2.5 LPA. The highest salary is 7.5 LPA. The maximum package is 4 LPA. Novartis, GSK, Elly Lilly, and Syngene are top companies. 50% of students appointed as interns based on their performance will be considered further. A place to learn life here.
Infrastructure: Our campus has a great ambiance and environment. Right in the middle of all the action and yet doesn't feel like Bengaluru. Our college has a well-stocked library and well-lit classrooms which are equipped with projectors and audio systems. No Wi-Fi facility is available there but LAN cables are available to connect the server. They provide good food and medical facilities. Volleyball, football, and basketball courts are there.
Faculty: All teachers are very distinguished in their respective fields. They all are very helpful and knowledgeable. They don't focus on a specific subject, and they focus on everything. The courses are organized in a way that makes it easy for students to understand.

Our college has excellent professors and teaching philosophy.
Placements: Almost 99% of the students from our course got placed. The highest package salary offered is 7.2 LPA in companies for jobs, while the lowest salary package offered is 1.44 LPA for an academic internship. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our college are Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline and Eli Lilly. Top roles offered are data analyst and bioinformatician.
Infrastructure: Our college has a well-stocked library, excellent wet and dry laboratories and spacious and well-lit classrooms, which are equipped with projectors and audio systems. There is no Wi-Fi facility, but LAN cables are available to connect to the server. Good and very affordable hostel facilities are available, and the food served in the mess is decent. Medical facilities are available, and biosafety guidelines followed at all times. But there are no sports and games facilities.
Faculty: All teachers are very distinguished professors in their respective fields. They all are very helpful, knowledgeable and believe in the overall development of students, i.e., they don't pertain to a specific subject, but focus on everything. They teach students everything from the basics of the subject to the current situation of the world of that area. Then they check their ability to apply all that knowledge to future applications. Rather than teaching just the course curriculum, they mould the thinking of the students so that they are ready for any job position, whether in academics or industries.
Other: I have chosen bioinformatics because it is blooming in today's world and train students. Wet-lab biology is also quite restrictive if students wish to study further in any field of biology. Fests and extracurricular activities were organised during my tenure apart from teacher's day, fresher's and farewell parties. Academic conferences and events were held in plenty.

Course is good, campus is nice, food is the worst, placement is good.
Placements: 80% placement. The highest 11.5 Lacs PA the lowest: 3 Lacs PA salary offered. TCS, clevergene were top recruiters. Data scientist senior bioinformatics associate roles were offered. 50% of students appointed as intern for three months after that on the basis of their performance it will be considered further.
Infrastructure: Labs were good but it was not available for 24 hours and system need to little more advance. Student should get server station to get use to for industrial purpose. Quality of the food is the worst it need to improve a lot only breakfast was fine rest was not eatable, They don't have canteen facilities, very less number of equipment are present for sports, no medical service.
Faculty: As our course is colaborated with IIIT-B so faculty from IIIT-B were very good and faculty from IBAB were not friendly and that much helpful also. The 3-Course structure is very good content or syllabus of course is very helpful for industrial purpose also but need little more collaboration with IIIT-B and IBAB together to improve more.
