Institute of Mass Communication and Media Technology, Kurukshetra University Scholarships and Funding
Golden Jubilee Post-graduate Scholarships-
The scholarship is awarded to 90 students of P.G.courses of the University Teaching Departments(except SFS courses) including 45 scholarships for the 1st and 2nd semester and 45 scholarships for the 3rd and 4th semesters. Students falling under the category of Below Poverty Line (BPL)/ Poor/ Needy and deserving having at least 2nd division at graduation level are eligible to apply. The University grants Rs.500/- p.m. for 10 months every year.
The total tuition fee for Institute of Mass Communication and Media Technology MA is INR 12,900. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Candidates need to pay course fee at the time of admission to confirm their seat in the institute. In case of withdrawl of admission, the institute refunds the fee as per the policy. Besides, aspirants also need to pay an application fee of INR 1,000 to register for a course.
Aspirants need to pay an application fee to register for a programme. If a student applies for more than one programme, he/she will have to deposit fee of INR 400 (INR 100 for SC/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates of Haryana only) for each programme separately. Placements: As I am in 1st year I am currently pursuing theoretical knowledge rather than practical but some of my senior friends had told me about placements as they got the highest package in big cities. Internships are offered to students from top recruiting companies according to their worth and capabilities as more than half of the students got internships.
Placements: In B.Sc. multimedia, students of any subject can get admission. But there is no placement of any kind in our Kurukshetra University Mass Com department, but as a multimedia student here, you can choose any career field like graphic designing, audio production, web development, etc.
Placements: There are 50 students in our course and most of them want to develop their career in media production, journalism, public relations, photography, radio production, etc. I have no idea regarding the package offered in our course. There are various companies which offer job opportunities for students. At least 80 percent of the students of our Institute were interested in doing internship at public relations agency. Placements: There is no placement guaranteed in course you have to final job on your own. You can get a job based on your skills and interviews. Kurukshetra University is undoubtedly one of the top universities but in case of studies in media field you have to make yourself that much strong that you can get a job.
Placements: This course is good for today's generation. So many students take this course. The average package offered in this field is INR 3–4 lacs. Many companies came to this department to recruit students for their companies. Many students got their internships in a lot of cities, like Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, and Faridabad.
Placements: Placements are provided by some graphics and 3D animation companies or design-related companies. These companies recruit students through a skill test. The salary packages are offered based on the skills and knowledge of the students. Our college gives an assignment for every student, which is considered an internship. Students can apply for internships through LinkedIn and Internshala. Our department gives some contacts to easily find internships.
