Institute of Mass Communication and Media Technology, Kurukshetra University Scholarships and Funding
Golden Jubilee Post-graduate Scholarships-
The scholarship is awarded to 90 students of P.G.courses of the University Teaching Departments(except SFS courses) including 45 scholarships for the 1st and 2nd semester and 45 scholarships for the 3rd and 4th semesters. Students falling under the category of Below Poverty Line (BPL)/ Poor/ Needy and deserving having at least 2nd division at graduation level are eligible to apply. The University grants Rs.500/- p.m. for 10 months every year.

Placements: As I am in 1st year I am currently pursuing theoretical knowledge rather than practical but some of my senior friends had told me about placements as they got the highest package in big cities. Internships are offered to students from top recruiting companies according to their worth and capabilities as more than half of the students got internships.
Placements: There were no placements for B.A. students. They could only complete their degree and opted for higher studies. Placements were available for MBA and B.Tech graduates. For these courses, the highest package was INR 25 LPA, while average median package was between 3.5 LPA to 5 LPA.
Placements: In B.Sc. multimedia, students of any subject can get admission. But there is no placement of any kind in our Kurukshetra University Mass Com department, but as a multimedia student here, you can choose any career field like graphic designing, audio production, web development, etc.
Placements: There are 50 students in our course and most of them want to develop their career in media production, journalism, public relations, photography, radio production, etc. I have no idea regarding the package offered in our course. There are various companies which offer job opportunities for students. At least 80 percent of the students of our Institute were interested in doing internship at public relations agency. Placements: There is no placement guaranteed in course you have to final job on your own. You can get a job based on your skills and interviews. Kurukshetra University is undoubtedly one of the top universities but in case of studies in media field you have to make yourself that much strong that you can get a job.
Placements: Currently, not much information is provided to juniors about placements. However, a new placement cell has recently been established in the department, so information and new opportunities will be provided to students. According to our seniors, placements are average rated.
