To enter the PhD course at IIIT, Pune; the GATE scores are primarily considered and its selections are done based on the counselling conducted by CCMT. Those who do not have a valid GATE score may also apply by taking a written test, and interview by the institute. To be eligible for IIIT Pune B.Tech Admission 2025, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

* Must have qualified 2025 examination.
* Should have obtained at least 75% marks in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST candidates) or must be in the top 20 percentile of their respective board.
* There is no specific age limit, as per JEE Main 2025 guidelines.

To apply for B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIIT Pune, candidates must have a valid JEE Main score, passed HSC (10+2) examination from a recognised board with PCM/PCMB as subject combinations, and scored 75% or above in the qualifying degree. They must also participate in the JoSAA/CSAB counselling. The tuition fee for the first year is INR 2,18,000, with a total fee of INR 2,78,750 for the first year.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering graduates from IIIT Pune can work in various jobs such as:

CSE at IIIT Pune is through JEE Main followed by JoSAA/CSAB counselling.Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Maths, and one of Chemistry/Biology/Technical subjects.Minimum marks: 75% (General) or 65% (SC/ST/PwD) in Class 12.Seats are around 260–326 for CSE each year.Closing ranks usually lie between 12,000 – 18,000 (General category). 

The MTech programme of two-years (full-time) is offered by IIIT Pune under its two specialisations namely Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. These programmes are established in such a way that they offer high technical expertise and experience in research. Students have an option to pick up their specialisation depending on their educational background and careers. The programme is theoretical and practical.

Students with a Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology are eligible to apply to M.Tech at IIIT Pune. The requirement of admission under CCMT route is a valid GATE score. Non GATE candidates also can apply but then they have to pass the IIIT Pune internal written and interview examination.
