Like most college, the level of competition one has to go through to be admitted to J.T. Mahajan College of Engineering depends on many factors such as the result of the exams the applicant had to sit for, his/her performance at high school, and the nature of specialisation that is offered at the college, and the number of students who apply to the college. Similar to the majority of Indian engineering colleges, usually admission is based on JEE Main scores or individual entrance exams. This college is relatively respected, but entrance can be not easy, especially for a certain profile, like Computer Science and Electronics. Notably, applicants should do well academically in their pursuing schools, and prepare for entrance examinations. The awareness of the trends in a college cut off list and diversification of profile also helps to increase the odds of getting through to a college. In sum, being qualified, hardworking, and highly driven to learn, potential students should do their best on applications.
