My college life in a nutshell.

Placements: In our college, a majority amount of students are studying in civil engineering department. The lowest package is about Rs 19,000 per month, and the highest is Rs 20,000 per month. Major companies like Tata, Mahindra, Dana, and MRF like companies recruiting our students. Maximum of the students get internship opportunities at government sites.

Infrastructure: If we talk about our hostel, it should not be so good not so bad. Our hostel provides canteen food which is average in taste. Our course offers lab classes with modern equipments. We can also use library. Our college organizes an annual sports day where many games are conducted. The main games are volleyball and cricket.

Faculty: Our department provided well-trained teachers group with a helpful mindset, and student-friendly. Their teaching quality is very good and their so experience with their professions. Our department makes their students for job ready condition. The difficulty of our question papers for internal is average, and for the semester is much tough. The passing percentage is not so bad.

Jalpaiguri Polytechnic institute is one of the best government institutes in Westbengal.

Placements: In my department there are 130 students. This college is one of the best Polytechnic colleges in West Bengal . The highest package form our college is of 22000 per month. Cultural programs are also organised very well in this institute. Overall this is the best college for Diploma students in engineering.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good in this college. The labs are clean and maintained. Hostels are good and the food in the hostel is also good. The classrooms are clean and maintained. Some tables and chairs are broken making them unusable.

Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and knowledgeable. Their Teaching is also good and proper. Semester exams are mostly difficult for those students who are from Bengali medium schools. The pass percentage is 40%. Because of stirct authority the industry of student is good for sure.

Other: I chose this course because I love engineering. The best thing about it is that it builds the world. Nothing would be better. Scholarships are available every year.

Overall, it is an awesome college.

Placements: As it's a government college, the fee structure is very reasonable. Scholarships and fee waiver schemes are also available at the time of admission. In the civil department, approximately 20% of students got placed in 2019. The top recruiter was L&T. The top role offered was junior engineer.

Infrastructure: The labs, library and classrooms are average. Wi-Fi is not available for students. The hostel is good. There is a team of teachers who keep track of all the hostel activities and provide the required facilities. There is a canteen within the campus area.

Faculty: The teachers for our course are highly qualified and very helpful in every manner. Their teaching quality is very understandable for an average student. They are approachable whenever students face any problem. There provide good study materials, and they guide us about higher studies. The curriculum is relevant and makes the students ready for a good career opportunity.

Other: A fest and events are conducted once a year. Connectivity is really good. There is Jalpaiguri road station nearby and Anti Para bus depot as well. Public transport is easily available. Extracurricular activities include not only cultural events but also educational events like debate, group discussion, extempore etc.
