Recruiters in India do not give value to online BTech courses anymore as they are not recognised by the AICTE and UGC and are considered invalid at present. The problem with online BTech degree is that it restricts your practical learning experience and limits your networking opportunities, both of which are very important in today's world to get a decent job in the market.

All of the top recruiters want a skilled pool of people who have a good knowledge of the technical know-how and have the right set of skills to be able to contribute to the growth of their business model. The clear answer to this question is no. An online BTech degree is considered invalid in India after the strict guidelines of AICTE and UGC because they give a lot of value to practical training and classroom learning, which is not possible in the online mode of learning. No, MAKAUT considers WBJEE for regular admission to BTech programme and JELET (conducted by WBJEEB) for admission to lateral entry programme. Other than above mentioned exams, the official website does not mention any other source of admission. Students are advised to check with the admissions office of the college.
