B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026

The college is good for people who have no money or less money.
Placements: The placement percentage is 50%. If they have 100 students, so 50 students are getting placed in good companies. The average package is 2.5 or 3.5 LPA. The highest may be 7.5 or 9.5 LPA. Top recruiters in our college are TCS, Golden Eagle, and Room. We have many courses in our college like mechanical, civil, and computer electronics. Every field has great faculty members and advanced technology labs. 70 to 80% of students get good internships and job opportunities after that.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. We have big classrooms with air conditioners and smart projectors, Wi-Fi on the whole campus, advanced labs with advanced computers and technology machines, big libraries, etc. The quality of education is very good. The faculty members are rude sometimes, but they are very helpful to us in our time of need. The hostel facility is also good. They charge a very minimum of only Rs. 15,000 per annum for a hostel facility or bus facility. Sports and games are there. Even we have a unit of National Cadets Corps Army Wing in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and qualified but not as helpful as they need to be. Sometimes, they demotivate us. Sometimes, even they don't know what technology that is currently running in demand. The course is very relevant and makes students industrial-ready but the major drawback is that we only have the faculty for software engineering and software development. We don't have any specific or good faculty for data analysis, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Semester exams are conducted well in the college. The passing percentage is above 80%.
Other: I am doing a B.Tech in data science. The main thing is I chose my course because it is rare but in this college, we don't have any specific faculty for data science. There is no faculty that can teach data science or data, so we need to put extra effort into learning things from the internet. I wish they had improved this thing. The campus crowd is great. Extracurricular activities are awesome. Fests like annual functions and celebrations are awesome.

It is the best college for engineering.
Placements: The current placement scenario of our college is the very best. Around 90% of the students got placed recently. Our college has organized mega campus drive. More than 10 companies visited here, where around 40 students are placed with the minimum salary package of 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Best facilities are available for students like well-maintained labs for a particular subject. Each lab has Wi-Fi and routers for a better experience. Along with these, the best library area is also available for the students where we have more than 1,00,000 books available. The best quality food and well-maintained rooms are available for students who are staying in a hostel. The college has a neat and clean canteen area. We also have a personal medical team for students.
Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified and have good experience in teaching. There is no difficulty in exams because the students get proper time to cover their full syllabus. We have only 5 subjects in a semester, and each subject has around a maximum of 5 units in the 6 months of the semester.
Other: The best and most experienced faculty members are available for computer science and engineering. College provides scholarships according to the cast OBS Rs. 28,000 per year and the ST/SC candidates Rs. 57,000. College orgenises the fest in a year known as Vihanagam rather than this or the festivals are also celebrated.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: In the Computer Science department, the minimum percentage for placement is around 60%, with the package ranging from 3.5 LPA to 7 LPA. Our college recently organised a mega campus drive in which more than 10 companies visited, and around 50 students got placed, with a minimum package of 4 LPA and a maximum package of 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college offers facilities like well-maintained labs with Wi-Fi in each lab, a library with more than 10,000 books, and clean classrooms. The entire campus is secure with CCTV cameras. The college canteen and mess provide the best food, and the medical team is available 24/7 on campus for any emergencies. Our college also supports us in sports, and recently, our college students were selected for the state teams in Netball and Kabaddi.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, with Master's and Ph.D. degrees. Their behaviour is very friendly in nature. The course curriculum is relevant and also makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are not too difficult, and the passing percentage for the semester is around 80%.
Other: Every year, the college organises a fest known as "Vihangam," and the college also organises many events like the Holi party, Teacher's Day, Engineer's Day, Navratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, the 31st December party, and many more. The college is well-connected and affiliated with RGPV University. Scholarships for Gen (EWS) are around 6,500, OBC is around 28,000, and ST/SC is around 57,000.

Review of JIT Borawan college .
Placements: My course (data Science) is newly added course in 2022 and my batch is the first batch in this course. So I am in my second year and there has been no internship or placement opportunity for the students till now. But the department says computer science (plan), which has been going on in college for many years, has a placement rate of about 5–10 percent through college or, say, on campus. The lowest package is 1.5 lakhs, and the highest is 7-8 lakhs per annum. Top recruiters are TCS, Pie Infocom, Tata, etc. My course has no internship rate, whereas the CSE plan has 4-5 percent. My course has so many roles like data analyst, data engineer, business analyst, data scientist, etc. There are different fields in my course but there is no post offered in any of the positions in my course at my college.
Infrastructure: In my department, there are many labs for different subject and classes. The computer performance and conditions are good, along with better furniture, labs that include Wi-Fi facilities and have projectors too, and the library contains all books related to my course subjects. I am not a hostel student; I do up-down daily from home to college. But from my friend, I got to hear that the hostel food is average in taste and has very little cleanliness; every room contains a total 5 beds for 5 students. My college has 1 canteen and only basic food and snacks are available. There are no medical facilities in college, and sports and games are only for hostel students .
Faculty: Teachers behavior is just like friends. They are good nature wise except some faculty members. They are well qualified with Masters and Ph.D. but knowledgeable faculty members is very low. Some faculty members teach very well; others are average; they teach only at the basic level and only relate to the course and give only theoretical knowledge, then practical knowledge.
Other: Scholarships are available except for general students and education in a few cases for high-ranking JEE students. Every year, 1 event happens in the month of March, called Vihangam. Workshops are arranged by the college for the students to increase their knowledge related to their field .

I recommend students not to take admission to this college.
Placements: Around 2-3 students get placed in our college out of 120 students. The maximum salary package offered is 2.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA. Placement percentage is low which is 5%. Placements are not good.
Infrastructure: Hostel provides good facilities. The food served in the mess is not good. Canteen and mess are not good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and helpful.
