4 years wasted in mining engineering at JNCT. Don't take admission before reading this.
Placements: If you are aiming for a placement, don't come here. I'm telling you the truth, the mining branch has the worst placement report. The highest package is 5 LPA and the average is 3 LPA. There is no such industry exposure for the students. It is very hard to get an internship in the mining branch, if you have any personal connections, you might get an internship or a job. 30 percent of students got placed and others wandered around local builders. Recruiters like Sidharth Construction hire freshers with low salaries as supervisors only. If your goal is a government job or higher studies, you might come.
Infrastructure: JNCT College is not fully developed, it has its own land but there are no buildings. Though the current situation of existing buildings is not good, they are not being maintained. Wi-Fi is only available in academic buildings. For the mining department, there is no advanced lab for practice, classrooms are not yet upgraded, the library has no new edition books, and students have to bring their own expenses. Mess food is hygienic and students prefer to stay in PG with charges of Rs. 3,000- Rs. 5,000 per month with food. Basic sports facilities are available but no clubs are run by students.
Faculty: No doubt faculty members are M.Tech and Ph.D. holders but the college has no such facilities to implement their knowledge. Mining survey, blasting, machinery like basic are taught in 4 years but there is no case study related to this organised, so it's a demerit. To get placement, you have to skill yourself in a non-core field. For internal marks of 40, you have to maintain good relations with specific teachers. However you have to maintain a 75 percent attendance system. My personal suggestion would be, don't fully depend on college, try to make some connections in the market by hook or crook.
Other: If you are looking for a low budget college, it's for you but not so friendly. Let's break down, Rs. 50,000 is tuition fees, some extra expenses like Rs. 5,000 for exams, Rs. 1,000 for Wi-Fi, Rs. 25,000 for bus, Rs. 5,000 for books are applied, which were not mentioned per year. You can manage this by getting scholarships of at least Rs. 20,000 minimum. If you want admission here, you can get in through JEE or MPDTE. No events and fests are scheduled on campus, no entertainment nothing. I chose this college and this branch because I had no other option. My opinion is not to come here for placement purposes.

Just a fine college if you want to do work without competition.
Placements: The chances of direct campus placement from here are very low. The college is not advanced enough to collaborate with big tech companies. There's no proper environment for such things. The options here are limited, like you can't opt for advanced things like machine learning here.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are very basic here and not maintained on a regular basis. There's no Wi-Fi for students, and on top of that, the internet connectivity inside the college is very poor. For a Computer Science college, this is very bad, and even inside the computer lab, the LAN connection they are offering provides very slow speed (like 0.5 Mbps) in 2026.
Faculty: Teachers here are usually fine. The faculty is limited but enough for the students they admit each year. Most new teachers here come for experience or a type of internship while they are on their Ph.D. The environment here feels more like a school and not a college.
Other: I hadn't chosen this college. I got it via Madhya Pradesh DTE, and I had no other option but to accept the joining letter. So, if you are looking for a college, then I'd suggest getting a college in Bhopal or somewhere else. The college doesn't have its own hostel, and the area around the college is not that developed and has no PG accommodations anywhere around the whole area.

    My experience at JNCT College.
Placements: Campus placements at this college are quite poor, especially for the CSE branch. Only one or two companies visit for placements, with the highest package being ₹8 LPA. Approximately 30% of students get placed. The eligibility for placements starts after the 3rd year since companies only start visiting from that time. A minimum of 60% in 10th and 12th grades is required to sit for campus placements, as this is the basic eligibility criteria. Apart from academics, students are expected to have strong knowledge of their subjects to perform well in placements. After obtaining the degree, I plan to prepare for government exams
Infrastructure: The college hosts an annual function at the end of each semester for students to enjoy. The library is well-stocked with multiple books related to each course and branch. Classrooms are equipped with digital technology for effective teaching. The campus has a large ground that provides facilities for all kinds of sports and extracurricular activities. There are various clubs like the environment club and social club to engage students in non-academic interests.
Faculty: Each subject has two faculty members who are all qualified PhD graduates. They use heuristic teaching methods and are approachable during and outside of class hours. The faculty is very supportive and always ready to help in any way possible.
Other: There are two hostels—one on campus and the other about 10 km away. Meals are provided in the hostel, including morning and evening breakfast, and dinner from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, only one meal is provided in the afternoon. Tea is available every evening. Due to limited seats, it is advised to register for hostel accommodation during the admission process, as the seats get filled up quickly.

Experience at Jawaharlal Nehru College .
Placements: The placement of these institutions is very good. Many companies provide a placement & paid internship for those who pass 6 semesters. The minimum package offer is 2 LPA, and the average package is 3 LPA. The annual session 2022–23 has the highest package of 5 LPA offered by Siddharth Construction.
Infrastructure: The facilities of Jawaharlal Nehru College are satisfactory and resourceful. Here is all the available equipment, like wi-fi, practical labs, a furnished classroom, and a book library. A hostel for students is nearby the institute. Mess & canteen food is too hygienic & tasty. Medical facilities, sports and games are all available here.
Faculty: The faculty of these institutions is too experienced & highly educated. They are very helpful and friendly with students. Course curriculum is relevant to the course & industry ready but practical experience is not good in these institutions. The exam is not very difficult or easy to crack.

It is a good college to study computer science.
Placements: Placement percentage of our college is good. Around 60% of students get placed in good companies with average salary packages. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA and the lowest salary package is 2 LPA. Some top recruiting companies are TCS and Infosys. Around 60% of students get internship opportunities in the above companies. Top role offered is a software engineer.
Infrastructure: Our campus is fully enabled with high-speed Wi-Fi. There are well-equipped labs with computers. The infrastructure of classrooms is good. Our college doesn't provide hostel facilities but the canteen food is hygienic and affordable. Sports facilities are available on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are well-educated and cooperative. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students knowledgeable and industry-ready. Semester exams are tough but around 75% of students pass the exams.
Other: Our college doesn't organise an annual college function.

Dissatisfied because of the faculty and poor teaching quality.
Placements: Very few students got placed in good companies, so the college placements are very low. The highest salary package offered is 1 LPA. Only local companies offer jobs to students. Only 1 % of students got internships in BHEL company, Bhopal. So, you can't get a good job from this college.
Infrastructure: The college building is in very poor condition. The classrooms are huge enough but useless. You can't get a single book from the library. The staff are rude. The electrical lab machines don't work because they are very old and in bad condition. The college doesn't have any sports and games facilities. A canteen is available, and you can buy Samosa there.
Faculty: The faculty members are very bad. They are very rude. They are not even qualified to teach in an engineering college. The teachers don't know how to teach, and they are less educated. They only want their salary.
Other: I had a very bad experience in this college because the college faculty members are rude. Please do not take admission in this college.
