JoSAA releases the NIT cutoff scores in the form of opening and closing ranks. Candidates seeking admission into 31 NITs, have to appear in JoSAA counselling without which their candidature will stand cancelled. Secondly, shortlisted candidates must participate in JoSAA counselling process for seat allotment at the reporting institute for document verification and payment of fees.
