JEE Main NIT Cutoff 2026: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) releases the opening and closing ranks for admission to NITs. These cutoffs are based on the scores obtained in JEE Mains. The cutoff for IIITs vary for various branches and also category of students. Specialised branches like computer Science and electronics engineering has higher cutoff in comparison to other branches. Similarly, JEE Main cutoff for general category candidates is higher in comparison to OBC-NCL and SC/ST candidates.

NIT Cut off for Admission
JoSAA releases the NIT cutoff scores in the form of opening and closing ranks. Candidates seeking admission into 31 NITs, have to appear in JoSAA counselling without which their candidature will stand cancelled. NIT Admission Process
With the declaration of JEE Main result, the institute-wise allotment of seats for admission to BTech courses is released by JoSAA. Firstly, candidates who fall within the JoSAA opening & closing ranks for the preferred college and course are shortlisted for admission. Secondly, shortlisted candidates must participate in JoSAA counselling process for seat allotment at the reporting institute for document verification and payment of fees. Candidates are called as per the JEE Main All India Rank (AIR) and availability of seats.
