JEE Main NIT Cutoff 2026: The round-wise JEE Main NIT cutoffs 2026 for BTech branches will be released after the completion of JoSAA counselling. Only the eligible candidates who have secured the minimum NIT cutoff marks can apply for admission to the respective institute as per their JEE Main 2025 ranks. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JEE Main twice. As per JEE Main 2026 exam date, the first session exam date was January 21 to 28 and the second session will be conducted from April 2 to 9, 2026. NIT Cut off for Admission
JoSAA releases the NIT cutoff scores in the form of opening and closing ranks. Candidates seeking admission into 31 NITs, have to appear in JoSAA counselling without which their candidature will stand cancelled. NIT Admission Process

Secondly, shortlisted candidates must participate in JoSAA counselling process for seat allotment at the reporting institute for document verification and payment of fees. Candidates are called as per the JEE Main All India Rank (AIR) and availability of seats.

With a JEE Main 2026 percentile of 81.40 and SC category rank of 2,91,970, admission to top NITs like Surathkal, Trichy, Warangal, Allahabad, Jaipur, Calicut is not possible. Their SC cutoffs for even lower branches usually close around 20,000–40,000 rank.

With a JEE Main rank of 81,473, you have a realistic chance of admission to NIT Srinagar, but mostly in branches other than Computer Science or IT. Based on the 2025 cutoffs, you are more likely to get Mechanical, Civil, or possibly Electrical Engineering under the Home State quota.
