M.E. in Structural Engineering - Batch of 2025
4.6
5Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Jaya Engineering College in the ME structural engineering course admission in 2026.
Placements: Approximately 78% of our group got placed. The average package is 5.5 LPA, the lowest is 3.4 LPA, and the highest is 11.6 LPA. Recruiters from L&T, Afcons, JMC Projects, and Shapoorji Pallonji come to visit. Approximately 66% of students can secure internships in consulting firms, bridge projects, and metro works. The positions are project planner, site engineer, and structural designer.
Infrastructure: Although some of the equipment is outdated, the labs have tangible testing and design software capabilities. The library has fewer foreign books, but all are in code. Although there are sporadic maintenance delays, the hostel is comfortable. The majority of students prefer the canteen. Mess food is decent but inspired. The gym equipment is antiquated, but the sports field is good for cricket and football.
Faculty: The professors are helpful and give helpful advice during the dissertation, even though some of the classes are dull. The syllabus is sound, despite its slow adoption of the newest design tools. With a pass rate of roughly 83% and strict evaluation requirements in some subjects, the exams are rather challenging.

M.Tech. in Textile Technology - Batch of 2026
4.4

Jaya Engineering College provides information about placement and facilities.
Placements: Approximately 76% of our textile batch got placed. The highest package is 9.2 LPA, the lowest is 3.1 LPA, and the average is 4.7 LPA. Raymond, Vardhman, Reliance Textile, and Welspun are among the recruiters. Nearly 65% of students can secure internships in clothing export companies, R&D facilities, and mills. Production manager, QA specialists, and process engineer are among the positions available.
Infrastructure: Machines for weaving, dying, and testing fabrics are available in labs, though some of them are antiquated. There are textile standards at the library, but there aren't many international journals. Although occasionally paced, hostel rooms are decent. The canteen food is far superior to the mediocre and repetitive mess food. There are a few sports facilities and only simple indoor activities.
Faculty: Although the faculty is helpful and informed, some of the lectures lacked examples from the industry. The curriculum is pertinent, but it lags in automation and smart textiles. Exams are moderately difficult. The pass rate is about 82%, and the practicals are rigorously checked.

B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2025
3.8

My experience at this college.
Placements: Actually, our college has few placements and we have to search for a job outside of the campus. Last year, they invited training centers free of cost for placements. Students who selected the course center can do the course free of cost.
Infrastructure: The hostels are of two types one is king and the other one is queen hostel. The queen hostel is located at the main gate, which has a water heater and generator. Kings hostel is located on the side of the lake and there is no water heater or generator.
Faculty: The department faculty members are good. Some faculty members have less knowledge. The course curriculum is good, and it provides coding classes, etc. Basically in every college self study is very important.

Review of JCE - Jaya Engineering College Thiruninravur Chennai.
Placements: Approximately 81% of our group got placed. The most expensive package is 12.3 LPA, the cheapest is 3.6 LPA, and the average is 5.9 LPA. Tata Projects, Afcons, Gammon India, and L&T Construction were among the recruiters. Approximately 70% were able to obtain internships at bridge design firms, private consultancies, and metro projects. Project engineer, design consultant, and structural engineer were among the positions available.
Infrastructure: Although the department's CAD and material testing labs were well-equipped, some of the software licenses were out of date. The library lacked international references, but it did have research journals and IS code. The hostel rooms were good, but the cleaning schedule wasn't consistent. Canteen food was more popular than mess food, which was good but monotonous. The gym equipment was outdated, but the sports field was good for volleyball and cricket.
Faculty: Although the teachers are friendly and encourage project work, some subjects were mainly taught through theory. While the curriculum was relevant to industry, new structural software tools were gradually introduced. Exams were quite challenging, with a pass rate of about 85%.

Admission to the ME Textile Course in 2026.
Placements: Approximately 79% of our group was placed. The average was 4.9 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the highest was 9.5 LPA. Welspun, Raymond, Reliance Textile, and Arvind Mills were among the recruiters. Approximately 68% obtained internships at R&D labs, export houses, and textile manufacturing facilities. The positions were Product Development Engineer, Process Engineer, and Quality Control Officer.
Infrastructure: Equipment for weaving, dyeing, and testing was available in textile labs; however, some of the machines required maintenance. Although there were few international publications, the library did have textile journals. Although the hostel rooms were cozy, there were sporadic water problems. Snacks from the canteen were more popular than the mediocre mess food. There were a few sports facilities, mostly for indoor competitions.
Faculty: Some lectures lacked engagement, but the faculty was knowledgeable and provided excellent guidance during the practicals. Although the curriculum did a good job of covering the fundamentals of the industry, it was slow to incorporate automation and smart textiles. Assessments were fair, the pass rate was about 84%, and the exams were moderate.

B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering (Lateral Entry) - Batch of 2028
3.8
4Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Supportive faculty, decent infrastructure, good placements, but average hostel and food.
Placements: I belong to the B.E. Computer Science and Engineering batch of 2024. In our batch, around 80-85% of students were placed through campus recruitment. The highest package offered is 10 LPA, the lowest is around 3 LPA, and the average is about 3.5 to 4 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and Capgemini. Around 50% of students also received internships in companies like Cisco, Guvi, and HCL. Most roles offered were software developer, web developer, tester, and graduate trainee engineer. The college provided decent placement training and industry exposure, especially for CS and IT students.
Infrastructure: Our department had good infrastructure with well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, and high-speed Wi-Fi across campus. The central library had a wide collection of books and access to digital resources. Hostel rooms were spacious and had basic amenities like RO water and 24/7 power. The mess food was average and sometimes repetitive, while the canteen offered better variety. Sports facilities included grounds for cricket, football, volleyball, and indoor games like table tennis and carrom. A health center and ambulance service were also available for medical emergencies.
Faculty: Our department teachers were experienced, supportive, and approachable. Most teachers explained concepts well and were available for doubt-clearing. The curriculum was updated and included practical labs, projects, and industry-relevant topics, especially for CSE and IT students. Semester exams were moderately difficult and followed the Anna University pattern. Internal assessment, model exams, and assignments helped in preparation. The overall pass percentage in our course was around 85-90%, with many students clearing all subjects on time.
