There is a good atmosphere, and it is a beautiful campus. It has a good infrastructure.

Placements: Students who are from diploma in chemical engineering can work in the operation of any chemical plant be it oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, food processing, beverage industry, etc. One of the recruiting companies for our college is ITC. We can earn a salary ranging from Rs. 20,000-50,000 per month.

Infrastructure: There is a good atmosphere, and it is a beautiful campus. The infrastructure is old and nostalgic, and it is easy to reach the campus. Our college has a chemical engineering lab, ES lab, environmental lab, workshop, maintenance lab, general chemistry lab, a good library and canteen facilities. But there is no hostel facility.

Faculty: The teaching quality is good here. Teachers are very helpful, friendly and highly qualified. They are seemed to be trained in teaching and generally have many years of experience. Hence they know their subject well. Some of the lecturers hold relevant industrial experience. There are also good course curriculum and exams.

Other: Chemical engineering is a good career option, so I have chosen this course. There are plenty of career opportunities, and chemical engineers have a high scope. Chemical engineers are one of the highest salary packages offering engineering jobs. But working as a chemical engineer also have a few drawbacks like sometimes we exposed to dangerous workplace conditions. Despite significant safety precautions, accidents are not uncommon at mining facilities, manufacturing plants and chemical processing operations. Many events are organised on our campus such as tech fest, annual day function, arts fest, sports day, etc. Our college has NSS and NCC units.

My review of Kerala Government Polytechnic College.

Placements: Most students get placement from the college. If you complete the course without any back papers, you will get placed for sure. Internships are also available in this college, with 3 internships in 3 years. Companies like ITC, Sanmar, MRF, L&T, etc., come to the college for placements. The salary package is from Rs.9,000 to Rs.35,000.

Infrastructure: There is no hostel in this college, but you can find affordable hostels and PGs near the college. Labs, classrooms, and the library are good. Labs have all the equipment needed for students. Classrooms are big and have many students. The library is good, with all the study materials, newspapers, and more books. Wi-Fi connection is also available in the library. Canteen food is good, but the canteen is small. Sports and games are conducted every year, and football, cricket, volleyball, and badminton teams are available in the college.

Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and have good behavior. They have good teaching skills. This course is good and not too tough. You can easily pass exams by studying for one or two days. By studying this course, you get knowledge about equipment and processes in industries, and you are ready to work in the industry.

Other: I chose this course because it is rare and has good opportunities. You get salary placement by completing this course. The campus has programs and events every year. Campus life is amazing. There is a good environment inside the campus. You never get bored inside the campus.
