B.A. (Hons.) in English - Batch of 2026
5.0
Good faculty and academic environment, but the infrastructure can be improved.
Placements: English Honours is not a placement-oriented course in our college, so the percentage of students getting formal campus placements is very low. Most students either prepare for competitive exams or take up private jobs on their own. On average, 10-15 percent of students get some kind of job opportunity through the college's career cell or seminars.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the English honours department is decent and improving every year. Our classrooms are simple but well-maintained with proper seating and ventilation. The library is one of the best parts because it has a good collection of English literature books.
Faculty: The faculty in the English honours department is quite knowledgeable and experienced. Most teachers are very helpful and try to explain the concepts in a simple and understandable way. They are approachable and supportive, especially when it comes to cleaning doubts.
Other: I chose English honours because I have always enjoyed reading literature and wanted to study it in a deeper and more structured way. I do feel that some things can be improved, like having more seminars, workshops, and interactive sessions.

An old and historic college with great facilities.
Placements: We can see a B.A. Honors degrees didn’t offer many opportunities, but students who graduated with honors were often opposed to teaching and other career options. On average, 45% to 50% of students were employed in various fields. The percentage of students placed in our course was above average, around 60% to 65%.
Infrastructure: The college building is old and like European large halls. Many students can sit easily and learn their lessons. Rooms advanced with speakers. Science laboratories were good. The library facilities are also good. Many books are available here.
Faculty: Teachers were quite helpful and well-qualified. They help students beyond class time. The course curriculum is quite relevant, a semester-based examination. Comprehensive syllabus. Students have to study sincerely to complete the syllabus in time to get good grades.

The highest salary package offered is 8 Lacs per annum, the average salary package is 5 Lacs per annum, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 Lacs per annum. 40-50% of the students get internships from this course.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is overall impressive. The college provides many facilities like a playground, parking area, library, food court, and a canteen. The college also provides a boys and girls hostel. Our campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The college also provided medical facilities.
Faculty: Our University teachers are very helpful, they are well-educated. They provide many important notes before the exams. The teachers are well knowledgeable and well qualified. Their teaching quality is really impressive. Our course curriculum is up to date.
Other: The University campuses are kept neat and clean.

I am not satisfied with our teachers and infrastructure.
Placements: Our college does not provide internships and placements for students. Companies won't visit our college to recruit students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our classrooms is not good. Our college has a library. The food served in the hostel is average. There is no canteen in our college. Our college has a good playground for sports. Sports facilities are not good.
Faculty: Our teachers are not much skilled. Their teaching quality is average. The course curriculum does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not easy. We have to study well to pass exams.
Other: I opted for this course because I want to complete my graduation. Our college should provide some good quality teachers for better education. Our college conducts an orientation program every year. Our college organises cultural programs on different occasions.

Education quality is too much good but infrastructure is not too much good.
Placements: 100% of students were placed in our course. Our college course does not offer any package. No company is accepted for our curriculum, and no students got internships from your course. There are no roles given in our course. So I'm going to give three stars on this matter.
Infrastructure: As we are students in the English department, we need no labs. But we have our classroom. Its quality is good. That's is Physics Seminar classroom. The college also provides us with the facility of a library I frequently visit there with friends. The college does not provide us with any Wi-Fi facility. I go to college from home, so I don't need any hostel facility that I do not know about it.
Faculty: The teachers of our department are good, qualified and knowledgeable. They are committed to their students. Their only objectivity is to SEE their students reach their highest potency. This course is very beneficial. The semester exams in this college are lucid and not too hard. The pass percentage is around 70%.
Other: I have opted for English honors because it enlarges our scope to interact with people. It helps that I was engrossed in this subject while eight was engrossed. I got came across different vocabulary, phrases, and idioms. I think the including the history of English literature would be better for your course. We need to clean the surrounding area of our college campus. Everything is too littered.

Our college is very good in terms of infrastructure, faculty, and courses.
Placements: There are no such opportunities for being placed but has a great future with this course. College offers opportunities to learn about the free environment and develop yourself.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, it is too old but is in very good condition. This has a good infrastructure and is much recommended for the future.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and cooperative. They always look up to the students problems and solve them in time. The course curriculum is very relevant in terms of future progress. The semester exams are moderate and there are no hurdles and difficulties.
Other: I chose this course because I have a good passion for the subject.

Krishnanagar Government College is a dream college for all.
Placements: Almost 60% of the students from our course got placements in different institutions. The average salary offered in our course was Rs. 15000 per month. Our course was mainly for government jobs. No internships were applied in our course. The main role of our course was nation-building through teaching or public service.
Infrastructure: Krishnanagar Government College is a renowned college in Nadia district. All the facilities are premium be it a hostel, infrastructure, or library. All kinds of books were present in our vast central library. Our class library was also good. There was Wi-Fi present on our campus. Labs were well decorated too. Sports, medical and canteen facilities were also up to the mark. Overall it was a college of high standards.
Faculty: All our professors were very helpful, highly qualified, and extremely kind. The teaching quality was excellent. Our course curriculum was very relevant because here we can know the cultural heritage and historical superiority of our country. Semester exams were quite difficult because of the huge syllabus.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it since my childhood. The great stories of our great kings and freedom fighters always made a deep impact on my mind. The only thing I wish I could change is to lighten the huge burden of the syllabus every history student had to tackle in college life. We once organised a seminar on Gandhian Philosophy. The economically backward students got scholarships of different types.

Yes, you can get a seat easily in B.Sc hons. Physics, but first, you can appear in cuet exam and clear it.

You need to get at least 200/250 in cuet exam, then you can apply for it and get your seat.
