School of Fashion Technology (SOFT), Pune was founded in 1998 under the aegis of old Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS). It is one of the premier schools imparting education in the stream of Fashion and is located in Pune. The school is affiliated to was ranked 12 and 13 for Fashion Design by the Week 2020 and Outlook 2019. SOFT is affiliated to SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai and offers several courses in the areas of Fashion Design, Technology, Production, Merchandising, Communication, Textile Design and Sustainable Fashion. The faculty memebrs at SOFT are highly qualified and experts from the industry. They train the students and prepares them for a promising future by equipping their minds with creativity, intellect and confidence.
To provide exposure to the students, SOFT invites professionals on a regular basis from the relevant companies. It encourages students to seek and maintain links with the industry experts for a better understanding. It also conducts several lecturers and seminars by the industry experts to enhance the dimensions of design along with the technical awareness for both the students as well as the faculty members.
SOFT is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a computer centre, resource centre, library, an auditorium and a health club. The school also offers hostel facilities to the students. The school has several collaborations which are presented below:

SOFT Pune Courses
SOFT Pune offers nine progammes at the UG, PG, PG diploma and diploma level. These programmes include Bachelor of Design (BDes), Master of Design (MDes), PG diploma in Fashion Design & Merchandising. The duration of BDes programme is two years, whereas MDes and PG diploma in Fashion Design & Merchandising programmes are offered for two years each. Addtionally, the school offers UG diploma programmes in association with Pearson Business & Technology Education Council (BTEC).
