Absolute worst experience at Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: About 20% of students are placed from our college. Most of the packages are around 4 LPA, with the highest around 8 LPA. Companies such as Talrop, HDFC Life, and others visit our college during the placement drive. In my course, most students are placed as software engineers.
Infrastructure: I think this is the college with the worst infrastructure in Thiruvananthapuram. Hostel facilities are mediocre at best, with no attached bathrooms. The common bathrooms are not very clean. Rooms are messy, no mattresses are provided, and the bedding is of the lowest quality. The food is so bad that food poisoning is common. Additionally, there is no AC, and water heaters. The college gym is not well-equipped, and I don’t see any medical facilities. They are most probably non-existent. The college does not support any games and does not provide duty leaves.
Faculty: Teachers are, as far as humans go, some are good, while others are a nightmare. Get on their bad side, and your semester will be ruined. The teaching quality is below average. Those students who pass regularly study at home by themselves. They follow a curriculum based on prehistoric times, and it doesn't make you industry-ready. Semester exams are not too difficult. The pass percentages often fall below 40%.
Other: I chose this course since I was fascinated by technology and wanted to know how things work. I don't know a good thing about my course, and I still have to figure it out. I wish everything were better, with a good curriculum relevant to today's topics and not the old and repeated topics forever. Now comes the events. The main event is the tech fest named Illuminati. The students are squeezed for money, but the programs are average. Christmas and Onam celebrations are almost non-existent.

A supportive campus with a strong academy and growing opportunities in biotech and other streams.
Placements: Approximately 60–70 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 6 LPA and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Biocon Syngene TCS Life Sciences and Accenture. 65–75 percent of students secured internships. Research assistant quality control biotech process associate and data analyst are the roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: Our department is well occupied with both academic and research infrastructure to support biotechnology education. We have dedicated and fully functional labs for core subjects such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Downstream Processing, and Engineering. Wi-Fi access is available for students, with internet-enabled labs supporting bioinformatics and research projects. Smart classrooms with projectors and audio systems are available for effective teaching. The central library has a good collection of biotechnology textbooks, journals, and research publications. We also have access to digital resources and e-journals.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified, with many holding M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees in biotechnology or related fields. They are supportive and willing to help even outside class hours. The teaching quality is good, with a strong focus on conceptual clarity and practical application. The curriculum followed the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University guidelines and covered key areas such as genetic engineering, bioprocess technology, molecular biology, and biochemical engineering. The semester exams are moderately challenging, with a balanced mix of theory application and problem-solving questions. Regular class attendance, lab work, and consistent preparation usually ensured good performance.
Other: I chose Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering because of my strong interest in biology research and its applications in healthcare, agriculture, and environmental science. The best things about this course are the hands-on lab experience from the early semesters and exposure to both theoretical and applied biotechnology. The college conducted annual technical and cultural fests like Colloquium and Illuminati, where students from all departments participated. The campus has a friendly and diverse crowd. Seniors are approachable, and there is a positive environment for collaboration and learning. The campus is well connected by road, with regular bus services from Trivandrum and nearby areas.

Unlocking opportunities - A comprehensive review.
Placements: Computer science boasts a 75% placement rate with graduates securing jobs in companies like UST and TCS offering a salary package from 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Internship opportunities are there with leading companies that provide industrial exposure. Graduates typically secure roles in software development.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are so good. We have clean rooms along with tasty and healthy mess food. It also provides us total comfort. There is a common study area where we can discuss the chapters with other friends. Wi-Fi is also available in the hostels. Cel phones are allowed upto 8:00 PM.
Faculty: Teachers are highly educated and well-experienced with great subject knowledge. They train us in the software field. They help to understand the modules much better and also provide extra classes and exams. According to the series, exam marks and remedial classes will be provided in the evening.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: Only two of the students got jobs before passing out but they were not from campus placement. They researched on their own by registering for multiple interviews. Still, colleges take money in the name of campus placement. Some students of Bio-Technology were also placed after passing out. Most of the top companies come but due to a lack of skill, they refuse to take them. An internship is not given by the college.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good compared to hostel and the college washrooms are good. They have a good library and an online library. Labs are not well occupied with computers; some are not in working condition. College Wi-Fi isn't used by students other than in labs. Some of the students in the students in the class have no projectors. The hostel facility is too bad, mainly the bathroom, which is very hygienic; there is no proper light, not even a good sanitary dispensary. They pay establishment charges but they don't renovate it. Mainly, water is not cleaned properly; they don't clean it.
Faculty: Faculty are good but some of them don't have much knowledge of what they are teaching and some have good knowledge but don't know how to make it effective. Some of them don't even know how to solve a code in a computer program. During the semester exam, they give strict evaluations, don't support cheating and also support extracurricular activities. Pass percentage is above average.
Other: The course is good and its a nice time in class other than the incorrect timing of the teacher. There is only some cultural fest happening in our college and they take a huge amount of time other than first played. They always want money in one or the other hand. There are only a few students now in all departments other than computer science. Campus life is too boring for what I expected. I personally hate my college. I wish to improve the infrastructure of the hostel, make it hygienic and include more festivals.

Eco friendly college with good infrastructure and many facilities.
Placements: Recently, many companies had arrived in our college for campus placement, such us TCS, UST Global, etc. There is a fair chance for securing a bright future from our college. The highest package offered in our college is approximately 40,000 and minimum is like 10,000.
Infrastructure: It's a nice campus with good infrastructure and lab facilities. The support they provide for co-curriculum activities is exceptional. Also, the facilities are provided for students who came to study from far away, with hostel facilities for both boys and girls .
Faculty: Experiences facilities with the ability to share their knowledge with the students. They play an important role in helping the students achieve higher marks. Also, their approach towards the students was so good. Semester exams were easy for the students because of the teachers.

It is a very good college.
Placements: Around 25% of students got placed in our course. Top companies won't visit our college. Our college does not provide internships. Students apply for placements and internships on their own. Our college offers 100% placements.
Infrastructure: We have a good library. We can borrow books from the library for 7 days. Classrooms and labs are well-developed. The lab has good machines. Our canteen is not well-developed. Our college does not provide medical facilities. Sports and games are less in our college.
Faculty: Some teachers are good. They are from this college only. They don't have experience. The semester exams are conducted by KTU and are difficult.
Other: The campus surroundings are good. I chose this college because it is near my house. The college rules are not good.
