Candidates wishing to secure admission to the TKM College of Engineering cannot get direct admission. The admission process is entrance-based for the UG and PG programmes. Candidates are required to appear for various entrance exams such as the GATE, NATA, or KEAM. 
There is a 85% government quota in the seat intake and a 15% management quota.

M.E./M.Tech	Candidates, who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and satisfying the following conditions, are eligible for admission. (Graduates from Institution of Engineers (India) (AMIE) or from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) (AMITE) in appropriate area with a valid GATE score in appropriate suhjcct (Anncxurc V). AND A minimum of 55%* marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination.
M.Arch	Candidate must have completed B.Arch. from a recognised university/ institute. (In the absence of students with Architecture Degree, Degree in Civil Engineering will be considered).
B.Arch	Candidate who have completed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate are eligible.

Candidates wishing to secure a seat at TKM College of Engineering must apply to entrance exams such as the KEAM, GATE, or NATA. The application fee for these entrance exams are:

After passing the Class 12 exam, students must receive at least 50% of the possible points for the merit category in a three-year degree programme that includes mathematics, statistics, computer science, computer applications, engineering, and technology as major, secondary, or core subjects. For SEBC and physically handicapped students, the minimum score is 45%. Candidates who are SC/ST must receive a minimum score. Government-specified reservation guidelines are closely adhered to. The Director of the LBS Centre for Science and Technology Thiruvananthapuram, a government body, administers the Centralized Allotment Process for admission to the merit seats.
