CTF's Diploma in Textile Technology Programme at Shirpur offers Industry Exposure, Hands-on Learning, and 100% Campus Placement

July 19, 2023: Since its founding in 2007, the cutting-edge Centre for Textile Functions (CTF) in Shirpur at the Mukesh Patel School of Technology & Management, NMIMS Deemed-to-be-University, has led the way in delivering high-quality education in the area of textile technology. The only institution in India that functions as a fundamental component of the textile industry serves rural young and trains them for promising professions in the textile industry, which is the second-largest employer in the world. With a 120-student annual intake, admissions for the three-year Diploma in Textile Technology programme are currently available. Candidates must earn at least a 50% overall score in both their 10th and 12th grade exams to be eligible. The registration procedure has started, and merit-based selection will be used.

The Diploma in Textile Technology programme at CTF gives students a thorough education with a curriculum geared to create a solid knowledge background, presentation skills, industry-based project work, and work ethics. With competence in fields like spinning, weaving, processing, garment manufacturing, man-made fibre manufacturing, and technical textiles, the programme is home to a distinguished and highly experienced faculty. The collaboration between CTF and Textile Industries in Shirpur Textile Park, which makes practical sessions, training, and project development possible, is one of the program's distinctive aspects. To improve teaching and learning, CTF also keeps connections with other textile departments. Students enrolled in the programme gain access to a variety of special features, such as extensive in-plant training in all facets of textile manufacturing processes, strong industry relationships for curriculum development and placements, emphasis on hands-on learning, industrial exposure through practical sessions at Shirpur Textile Park and other textile industries, and emphasis on hands-on learning.

Bhushan Kumbhar, who is from the peaceful village of Torkheda in Taluka Shahada, is an inspiration for his foray into the field of textile technology. After finishing the 10th grade at Kadma Bande High School, Bhushan went out to look at courses that would be useful for the workplace. He eventually found the CTF's Diploma in Textile Technology programme. Bhushan, who hails from a lower middle class family, understood the value of education and embraced the chance to achieve his goals. In 2016, he enrolled in the CTF programme.  Bhushan and his classmates at CTF were exposed to cutting-edge textile manufacturing equipment in the Shirpur Textile Park, giving him the opportunity to get first-hand knowledge and experience. Bhushan obtained a job at the garment section of Alok Industry after receiving his diploma.
