B.A. (Hons.) in Geography - Batch of 2026
4.4
It is the best and the biggest college in the Nalbari district.
Placements: B.A, BCA, BBA, B.Sc., and discipline courses are available in my college. The cutoff in my college for science is 85%, and in arts, it is 76%. Our college offers internships. It does not offer job and extracurricular opportunities.
Infrastructure: The quality of hostels is great. There are two canteens in this college and more than 30 mess facilities. Medical facilities are available in the college. Various numbers of sports facilities are available in my college. Minor and major games are played during the college week.
Faculty: In our college, more than 2,000 students are available. My college conducts 2 exams in a term or semester. 1st is a sessional exam and 2nd is the final exam. B.Sc. and B.A. geography students conduct a practical exam. More than 1,000 students appear in the final exams, but 90% of students pass exams.
Other: NCC and cultural opportunities are available in this college.

B.A. (Hons.) in Geography - Batch of 2023
2.6
I am not satisfied with facilities.
Placements: Students have not got placed in our course. Our college does not provide direct placements after graduation. The lowest salary offered by a private school for a teacher is Rs. 15,000 per month. The lowest salary offered by an institution is around Rs.30,000 - Rs.45,000 per month. Many private schools, medical companies, government companies, etc., visit our college. Our college does not provide direct internships for B.A. and B.Sc courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is a bit good. Labs are not advanced. Classrooms are average. Our college has some advanced digital classrooms. The library is very good but can improve. Wi-Fi is not good. The food served in our college is average. Our college provides medical facilities. Sports and games are not much popular and developed.
Faculty: Some teachers try hard and provide us with more information and knowledge. It is not much difficult to pass exams. If you study for 8-10 days, you can pass exams easily.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to prepare for the civil services. This course provides time and knowledge to prepare for civil exams. Our college and government authority should focus on the digitalisation of all classrooms and improve study methods. The semester fee is Rs. 8,000. Many government scholarships are available in our college. Our college conducts many extracurricular activities.

B.A. (Hons.) in Economics - Batch of 2023
2.8
Good education but poor placements.
Placements: Actually in terms of placements, the scenario is not great. We don't get any placements or offer. Even there is no such programme where students get any opportunities or recruitment. Only the syllabus is being taught and nothing else. Students don't get to participate in internship programme or anything like that.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, library or labs are pretty good and well-equipped. The canteen is good. The college also have a good medical facility. But the infrastructure in sports and games is pretty bad. There are no proper playgrounds or stadiums. But it is noteworthy that the hostel facility is good.
Faculty: The faculty members especially in my department are excellent. The are helpful and highly qualified as well. The teachers are very supportive. They are friendly and always come forward to help or work for the betterment of the students. The course curriculum is relevant and it make the students industry ready as well. Pass percentage is above 85%. .
Other: I chose this course because I like economics. The course can be made more practical. There should be more events in my college. Focus should be made on the campus infrastructure and extracurricular activities. Otherwise the college specially the economics department is good.

The college is really good for students to study. It has good infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: 30 percent of students get placed. The highest offered is 1 lakh per month, and the lowest offered ranges from Rs. 25,000-30,000 per month. I'm still studying in this college, and I don't have much idea about placements. But we go to different places for the exhibition. By taking this course, we can take any job in the forest department and in many other fields.
Infrastructure: It has a good infrastructure. It has free Wi-Fi, good labs, classrooms, and a library. Good quality food is available in the canteen. It has every facility like clean drinking water, medical facilities, etc. The food served in the mess is very good and hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is relevant. So if we study with focus, discipline, and follow teacher's guidance, then it's easy to pass exams. The pass percentage is above average.
Other: I chose this course because I like it. Every activity is conducted in our college.

Absolutely satisfied because of everything related my college or course, faculty, good placements.
Placements: 40% of the college students were placed in my course. The highest, the lowest and the average package offered in my course is 15 Lacs, 3 Lacs and 7 Lacs. Specially private institutions and finance companies are the top recruiting for my course. Minimum 60% students of my course got internship at the private institutions and finance companies. Top role offered in my course is Teacher .
Infrastructure: In my course or department there is a laboratory of Physics where we should practice everything. The classrooms are very good and also we have a SMART classroom where all the things what is related to my course can be displayed to understand well. Yes we have a strong wi-fi connection. And the library is awesome case we can get any book related to the course Hostel is awesome there facilities are good. And the food quality is really good they served us 4 days of nonveg including egg, meant, fish. We have a playground in front of out hostel.
Faculty: Yes the teachers is helpful, most of them qualified from top class Universities, and knowledgeable. They teach us very well and we thank them. No this course is not curriculum relevant. It doesn't make the students industry ready. In the college the semester exams are very tough. Minimum 30% is the pass percentage .
Other: Specially I want to get knowledge about the Physics of the universe where all starts from Physics. And the best thing is I'm learning the things what I wantet to learn. Everything is very good I don't recommend anything to be better about my course. There is lots of Events in my college including my course events. Campus is very good we feel like it's our own. Connectivity is good with all students and teachers. We have scholarship examination to get scholarship and many more.

A good learning environment with supportive faculty, active sports culture, and decent placements.
Placements: In the BPES course at Nalbari College, about 65-70 percent of students are placed in recent batches. The highest package offered is around 6 LPA, the lowest is about 2.5 LPA and the average is close to 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting includes schools, fitness centers, NGOs and sports organizations along with a few government projects. Nearly 50 percent of students got internships, mainly in schools, health clubs, and community development programs. Top roles offered are physical education teacher, fitness trainer, sports coach, and activity coordinator, giving students career opportunities in both the education and sports sectors.
Infrastructure: BPES department of Nalbari College has good basic facilities, including spacious classrooms, a departmental library, computer access, Wi-Fi, and sports equipment for practical training. There are playgrounds, indoor game facilities, and fitness-related resources to support the course. The main library is well stocked with books and journals related to physical education. Hostel facilities are average, with shared rooms, adequate cleanliness, and 24X7 water and electricity. Mess food is simple but hygienic, and a canteen is available for snacks. College also provides first aid and tie-ups with the local hospital for medical needs. Sports and games facilities are well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers of the BPES course at Nalbari College are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, with many having strong backgrounds in physical education and sports sciences. Teaching quality is good, combining both theory and practical exposure. The curriculum is relevant, covering physical fitness, sports training, health education, and teaching methodology, which helps students become industry-ready for careers in education, sports, and fitness sectors. Semester exams are moderately difficult, focusing on both conceptual understanding and practical application. With regular study and practice, students can perform well, and the overall pass percentage remains high, around 85 to 90%.
Other: I pursued the BPES course at Nalbari College. I chose this course due to my strong interest in sports, fitness, and physical education, as it provides opportunities in teaching, training, and the health sector. The best aspects of the course are the balance of theory and practical learning, supportive teachers, and exposure to sports activities. Improvements should be made with modern labs, advanced gym equipment, and more internship tie-ups. College has a vibrant environment with sports events, cultural fests, extracurricular activities, and an active campus crowd. The green campus, good connectivity, and available scholarships make it student-friendly.
