As per the media reports, NID conducts centralized placements 2023 for its campuses in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Bangalore. A total of 400 job offers were made to students during placements 2023 so far. Further, Microsoft offered job opportunities to 30 students. A total of 124 companies participated during NID placements 2023 so far. The fee structure of NID, Bengaluru is expensive as compared to the other design Institutes. The fee ranges between 1,80,000- 2,00,000 for the 1st semester in undergraduate course. The approximate fees for the master's degree is around 11 lakh. You can visit the official website of NID for the latest fee structure. Students have to pay the security fees of 10,000 at the starting of the course. Some fees like the security fees is refundable but the tuition fees is non refundable. There are other charges as well like hostel, mess, transportation. The fees is but high but it is worth it.
The application fee of NID DAT 2026 for the B. Des for General, General-EWS, OBC-NCL candidates is INR 3,000. SC, ST, PwD candidates only ned to pay INR 1,500. However note that the application fees for overseas candidates seeking admission to supernumerary seats is INR 5000. In case of the M.Des programme, the application fees for General, General-EWS, OBC-NCL candidates applying for one discipline is INR 3,000. If two disciplines are chosen, the application fee is INR 6000. Meanwhile, SC, ST, PwD candidate need to pay INR 1,500 for one discipline, and INR 3000 for two disciplines.

NID Bangalore and NID Ahmedabad cannot really be compared because NID Bangalore is the extended campus of NID Ahmedabad and the institutes have a common admission process and a centralised placement cell.
NID Ahmedabad offers BDes and MDes, on the other hand NID Bangalore only offers an MDes.
Both the institutes offers different MDes specialisations, therefore the choice of institute will majorly depend on the specialisation selection of a candidate. For instance, if an aspirant wish to pursue MDes with specialisation in Digital Game Design, he/she will have to take admission at the Bangalore campus because the NID Ahmedabad does not offer the aforementioned specialisation.

While filling out the NID application form, candidates have to enter their personal, academic, and personal information. They are also required to upload a photograph and signature, and caste Certificate if applicable. In case of candidates seeking admission under reserved categories, they also need to upload a category Certificate. PwD category candidates will also have to upload the relevant Certificate.
The category and PwD certificates should be in PDF format and max 2 MB.
Meanwhile, the photograph and signature should in JPG/JPEG format and within 75-100 KB.
If you have passed senior secondary exam from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with minimum five subjects, then you are eligible for NID DAT 2025. The National Institute of Design recognizes boards like CBSE, IB, ICSE, or equivalent.
The candidate must make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria before filling out the NID DAT 2025 application form.
Note that all details entered by the candidate in the application form will be checked at the time of counseling. If there is any discrepancy, the candidate may be disqualified.
